There will be an official World Championships dinner on Friday 27th February at the Great Hall of Bergslagen salons in Falun, were the royals, also Haakon and Mette-Marit will attend. Sodexo is responsible for the dinner for 170 guests and the table linen is the same as used at the Nobel dinner.

Swedish Charlotte Kalla, who won gold on Tuesday at the women's cross country 10 km, told to Aftonbladet, that Victoria called her after the race. Victoria had told Charlotte that she had watched the competition and congratulated Charlotte. Charlotte said that she thanked so much and asked Victoria to give Estelle a hug from her.

Carl Philip isn't in Falun today, his name was taken away from the calendar in the morning.

Queen Silvia tells that the royal family followed Charlotte Kalla's race in Stockholm. The gold has affected everyone, even Princess Estelle.
- There was a big poster with the whole team. So we asked little Estelle: "Do you recognize anyone?" She walked straight up to the middle and pointed: "There is Kalla", says Queen Silvia.
On Wednesday, the royal couple were in Falun and saw Johan Olsson take gold in the 15 km free. In addition to telling about Princess Estelle's ski idol Queen Silvia took the opportunity to congratulate both Olsson and Kalla for the gold medals.
- I think that all Sweden is enormously pleased, she says of Olsson's gold.
- Since he is such a nice person in addition. We were not here to see Kalla's gold, but we followed it on TV. It was such a joy.
On the video queen Silvia tells also that they were visiting the swedish ski waxing team and that they work very hard and have done a great job so far.

King Carl Gustaf and queen Silvia are attending at the medal ceremony and watching when Johan Olsson gets his gold medal. After the medalists had got their medals, they came to the king and queen. The king and queen congratulated Olsson, Olsson hugged the queen.

The athletes make big sacrifices, Johan Olsson has been six and half weeks away from his home, his wife and two little daughters. He has had a difficult season (he thought seriously of ending his career last year but decided to ski at the home WC in Sweden), he has been sick often and skied only one race at the World cup. So he decided to put everything to these championships. He has been training hard and because he is a person who gets sick very easily, he has lived alone, stayed away from his family not to get cold or other illness.

The king, queen and Carl Philip were watching the women's cross country relay on Thursday. The queen was watching the nordic combined.

The royals were at the medal ceremony. Charlotte Kalla lead the swedish silver medalists to the royals and the women hugged the royals.

In a photo from the link above, one can see that The Queen is referred to on her tag as H.K.H (HRH) instead of H.M.....I would've expected the people in charge to know better especially since this is taking place in Sweden.

Yesterday evening was a Dinner for the guests for the games. Did the royals attend, too?

It was told earlier, that the royals attend at the dinner. No photos published from the dinner yet. It must have been quite a late dinner, since the royals and the governor were at a medal ceremony still at 20.30, the royals in sport outfits.

Daniel gave an interview to swedish news agency TT in Falun today.
"Prince Daniel pays tribute to the volunteers"
Prince Daniel is a member of the local organizing committee for the World Ski Championships in Falun. Many have testified his strong commitment to the World Championships. Now, Prince Daniel looks back on a successful event.
- My biggest impression are all volunteers who have set up and worked voluntarily. We often talk about the athletes' actions and the work of the waxing team, but without the volunteers' work there would not have been any contests. Now we've got to be part of an event that exceeded all expectations. In addition, it has sold more tickets than many dared to dream. Of course, I also remember Charlotte Kalla and Johan Olsson's glorious race. It was great to see them.
Now the question is, can the Ski World Cup inspire other major sporting events to be organized in Sweden?
- We are a nation that will focus on major events. At the same time, I know there are different views on what the society should spend money on. But when a major event, such as the Nordic World Ski Championships, works and it becomes a huge success, I believe that the event means a lot to the community.
This week Daniel listened to a lecture by Sebastian Coe, who led the London Olympics in 2012.
- It was an interesting lecturw. He spoke about national pride at how the Olympics had been implemented which then had a positive impact in the country. He said that after the Olympics, London has evolved for the better. This Nordic World Ski Championships have created a pride in Falun, Dalarna and throughout Sweden. We can benefit from this in the future.

I don't know, took the link from internet. Obviously they had a private dinner hosted perhaps some member of the Falun2015, the county, the city of Falun, embassy... who knows, maybe we get more info later. It looks to me that there was a sixth person at the dinner who took the photo.

And who says that? It seems really odd that Sofia would have been only at the dinner on Saturday and not at the Championships at all. And knowing Sofia, it seems strange that she would have stayed out of the photo.
I have thought that Sofia has gone to South Africa because on Sunday the group of young people having had cancer, part of Project Playground's mentor program with Ung Cancer, left to Langa.

On Saturday evening the Carl Larsson Homestead was visited by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
In 1902, during Carl and Karin Larsson's lifetime, Lilla Hyttnäs was visited by Prince Eugen, Prince of Sweden and Norway, also referred to as "painting prince".
Now, over 100 years later Lilla Hyttnäs was visited in a relaxed atmosphere by royalty from both Sweden and Norway. The visitors were very interested in the home that Carl and Karin Larsson had created.
- They were so grateful and so happy. It was fun, says Chia Jonsson, Manager at Lilla Hyttnäs.
Already in the summer approached Chia Jonsson the Ski Association and announced that if some VIP guest was interested to experience something special, she was ready.
