Darn! Always when I start to think that the "ponytail-phase" is abating, then she does a no-no and appears at such an official function (opera, the concert in the swedish embassy in Denmark-then she even wore the same top) with a ponytail. I should do the same as this batman-guy at Buckingham palace, but on my banner you would read "ban the ponytail forever, Royal highness!"

I guess the pony-tale is a touchy thing for you all.:) And as for someone with sort of long hair and not always knowing what to do with it, and not wanting it down and in my face, the only thing that comes to me is the "Pony-tale."
But I do agree that it is not the hair style you should have for an opera.

:( You´re probably right...I can already see it in my mind: thousands of flowers, thousands of Swedes waving little blue-yellow flags, hundreds of guests (among them a lot of Royals), a black limousine, you can already catch a glimpse of a white dress, and then the Royal bride is getting out of the car...a wonderful white dress, a wonderful big tiara, a wonderful bouquet, wonderful jewels and... a ponytail :p

@Robby
Of course long hair needs a lot of care...but on the other hand you´ve a lot of possibilities to pin up your hair...and if you don´t want to do all this hair-care and if you´re afraid of your hairdresser you can cut it (and avoid sessions at the hairdresser for months )

That one is funny Lena about the beautiful white dress, big tiara etc and of course a ponytail!

Perhaps she is making us wait until the Big Day arrives then she will have a stunning hairstyle, maybe the best we have ever seen. Who knows she might be planning an out of this world hairstyle right now? But she might still be awaiting a marriage proposal?

Victoria has no official duties after her appearance at the paralympics (she will stay there until Tuesday) I wonder, if she will stay in Greece (maybe with Daniel), or if her university-course is just not mentioned in the calendar, or if she will do anything else.

Default Sorry!!!!!

I hoped not to have confused anyone! No, there has been no official announcement about an engagement.

What I meant to say was perhaps Victoria would tease us with the constant ponytail until her wedding day? When she will have an out of this world hairstyle and it would have been worth the long wait.

The days that are listed in the almanack (sorry about my spelling...) in connection with the royal family is:

- 28 january (the kings namesday)

- 12 march (the crown princess namesday)

- 30 april (the kings birthday)

- 6 june (the national day, sort of royal)

- 14 july (the crown princess birthday)

- 8 august (the queens namesday)

- 6 november (gustav adolfs day)

- 10 december (the nobel day, sort of royal)

- 23 december (the queens birthday)

that was all the flag days with royal interest that i found

Daniel Westling´s birthday celebrated officially...hmm, I like the idea :p (ETW: "We´ve decided that this day a parade will take place for a member of the Royal household, who isn´t officially a member, but who is for the crown princess as important as tanning-lotion for princess Madeleine"

Of course I know what else happened on the 15 th of September 1973 (ETW celebrated her 23th birthday...and the king of Sweden became king of Sweden )
