PRINCESS OF THE FLAG. As every good princess, Letizia spent the morning presiding, together with the Queen, the "asking" table from the Red Cross installed in front of the Congress. To much of the attendees delight, those who want the couple to have their first child right away, Felipe de Borbón's wife always had a nice gesture towards the babies that came near her.

Well, diverting a little from the "Flag Day", Manuel Petergaz, the designer of Letizia's wedding dress, is going to have an exhibition of his creations and, amongst them is the first "draft" of Letizia's wedding dress.

Letizia, Felipe and Sophia at the Red Cross Day in Madrid
Spanish Royal Family at the Cruz Roja day. Queen Sofia and Princess Letizia were in a table and Prince Felipe was giving money for Cruz Roja. Also Princess Elena was in another table.

Thank you both micas and Anna R for all the pictures -- not boring in the least! I, and I'm sure many other members appreciate your picture posting.
The Queen and Letizia look very close and chummy in these pictures; they seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company and friendship. It's nice to see that Letizia has such support from her mother-in-law who knows first hand about the challenges of being a future Queen and what it means to be a royal in Spain.

Speaking of "being close and chummy", I put together a few pictures of Queen Sophia and Princess Letizia. You only have to look at the pictures to see what an excellent relationship this mother-in-law-daughter-in-law duo share. Warmth and respect for each other is clearly evident. I am sure according to Queen Sofia (as are my sentiments), Prince Felipe couldn't have chosen a better life partner.
P.S. She is equally close to her father-in-law...
