The Prince of Asturias inaugurated today the exhibition " The world through that Cervantes lived ", that it recreates, across more than 400 pieces, between paintings, sculptures, objects of daily use and books, the Spain in which there lived the author of " El Quijote".
Carmen Iglesias, academic of the History and of the Language, is the police station of this exhibition organized by the State Society of Cultural Commemorations (SECC), assigned to the Department of Culture, and that will remain opened in the Cultural Center of the Villa of Madrid until beginning of January.

This important and elegant sample forms a part of the commemorative acts of the Centenary IV of the first edition of " El Quijote", which one comes celebrating throughout the present year.
Don Felipe - the Princess Letizia, whose presence was announced, could not accompany her husband for inconveniences of her pregnancy- listened with attention during the tour to Carmen Iglesias's explanations, accompanied by the minister of Culture, Carmen Calvo; the mayor of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón; and the president of the SECC, Jose García Velasco.

Don Felipe visited the headquarters of the General Staff of Defense, where he was received by the head general lieutenant Felix Sanz Roldán. After listening to the national anthem, Don Felipe, who was dressed in the uniform the Ground Forces, reviewed a mixed company of Earth, Air and Navy troops that paid honours to him.

Don Felipe, the calm man

Felipe the conqueror

Prince Asturias maintains his agenda of work of this week

Prince de Asturias will maintain his agenda of work anticipated for this week, in spite of the birth of his Leonor daughter at midnight of Monday, today informed a spokesman into the House of the King.

Don Felipe will go tomorrow to the Residence of Students to preside over a meeting of its Patronage and to visit a exhibition dedicated to poet Manuel Altolaguirre.
