Thank you so much for your thoughtful post. It adds so much to my understanding of this couple and the work they do. I find it fascinating to know the differences between each of the monarchies and how each functions based on the needs of each country. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to "be a royal family" - just a different way. I really enjoy this couple and am amazed at the amount of time they devote to representing Spain. Your post helps me to put their work in context. Thanks again,

Prince Felipe got his trophy as the 2nd classified at the helm of the CAM sailboat, in the XX edition of the Prince of Asturias regatta in Bayona.

The Prince of Asturias will meet next 30th in Bilbao executives of the principal companies of Basque Country to know his worries and to touch the situation of the economy of the autonomous community. Yes Elsa, the trips of the Royal Family to the Basque Country are complicated because they need of many measurements of safety, though it does not prevent it that the Kings or the Princes travel there, last year the Princes travelled to Vitoria and the Kings were there in some acts. The Princes also were in San Sebastian in their honeymoon. This day the Princes come to a meeting of Latin-American members of parliament, and I imagine that like that they take advantage of the trip. The bad thing, it is that besides the safety problems in this type of official acts always there are manifestations of radical of ETA's environment, which though they could be controlled by the police, they are very disagreeable.

On the other hand, Iñaki Urdangarín's family lives there, but their visits there are very counted by the safety problems, are in the habit of being the parents of Iñaki who go to Barcelona.

Prince: democratic, basic Culture to strengthen living together
The Prince of Asturias demonstrated today, on having inaugurated the Congress VII Spanish of Political Science and of the Administration, which the ' existence of a democratic culture constitutes one of the basic elements to strengthen the frame of our living together that dedicates our Constitution '.

The Italian thinker and writer Giovanni Sartori, Prize Prince of Asturias of Social Sciences, has inaugurated in the Complutensian University of Madrid, the VII Spanish Congress of Political Science and Administration, which counts on the collaboration of Universia. The attendance to this VII Congress, under the presidency of TRH the Princes of Asturias and of the director of the U.C.M. Palm, 4 oct (EFE) .

The Prince of Asturias visited today the air base of Sound Sant Joan, in Palm, where a monument inaugurated in honoring to the Service of Search and Spanish Salvage SAR in 50 anniversary of its creation and was present at a static and air exhibition of the means of 801 Squadron of the Air Forces. At 11.00 hours, don Philip dressed in uniform of the Navy, came to the base on board of a plane Falcon 900, where the personnel of 801 was waiting For Squadron of the SAR and the Squadron of Honors of Cuatrovientos's air base (Madrid), to which it inspected after listening to the anthem of Spain.
During the visit, he was accompanied at all time by the chief of the General Staff of the Air, Francisco Jose García of the Vega; the colonel chief of the air base of They Are Sant Joan, Fernando Martínez, and the lieutenant colonel chief of 801 Squadron, Fernando Delgado.

The signature of the ' Latin-American Letter of Laws of them and the Young women ' it will turn in historical the Latin-American Convention of Laws of the Youth that will be celebrated in Badajoz on the 10th and 11th of October. The convention was going to be inaugurated by the Princes of Asturias, Don Felipe and Dona Letizia, but the Royal House only confirmed yesterday to this newspaper the presence of Don Felipe, without entering the reasons those that the presence of the Princess could not confirm. Of official form, only the inauguration of the convention consists on the part of the Prince, for what except any visit of private content, there is not foreseen that Don Felipe is any more time in Estremadura on Monday morning.

Prince claims young rights to education, employment and housing

The Prince of Asturias urged today to the Latin-American countries to promoting
' the integration of the young men in the active society and when favored the development of his rights ', that are summarized, said, in favoring their access to the education, the employment and the housing.
With these words there inaugurated the Latin-American Convention of Laws of the Youth, a meeting that assembles in Badajoz governmental persons in charge of 18 countries to approve the first agreement of rights of the young men, a text that will affect more than 120 million persons between 15 and 24 years, and that will join to the works of the Summit of Salamanca.
The Prince - accompanied by the minister of Work, Jesus Caldera; the Extremaduran president, Juan Carlos Rodríguez Ibarra; the secretary general of the Latin-American Organization of Youth, Eugenio Ravinet, and the mayor of Badajoz, Michael Celdrán - showed his condolences to Guatemala, El Salvador and Mexico for the situation caused by the rains and remembered also the victims of the earthquake of Pakistan and the India.

The Badajoz´s mayor, Michael Celdrán, bet also for establishing mechanisms that guarantee ' the free development of the capacities, illusions and projects of the young men ', putting the whole determination in a project of more just and free society.
Celdrán made smile at the attendees at the inauguration on having wished the Princess of Asturias, who finally was not present at the act, a ' short childbirth and a happy illumination '.
Throughout the whole day the delegations of the different countries will analyze in diverse tables and meetings 44 articles of the Convention, which once signed tomorrow, it will have to be ratified for the respective Parliaments to come into force.
