Her suit is nice but boring. She should use a brooch or a foulard to add more glamour. She just look like profesional, not like a royal princess

Isn't that cute, Felipe's tie matched his wife's suit:
http://www.hola.com/casasreales/2004...ecepcion3a.jpg Nice photo of them chatting: http://www.hola.com/casasreales/2004.../desfile6a.jpg Another beautiful suite from Letizia: elegant, understated and perfectly suited to the occassion. I like that there's always a wonderful bit of detail in her suits, such as the sleeves, in this case. http://cache.gettyimages.com/comp/51...57C85AE85A779B |

Felipe and Letizia presided the session where it was approved the text of the "Diccionario Panhispánico de Dudas".
October 13th, San Millán de la Cogolla, La Rioja I think this picture doesn't flatter Letizia at all, I find her here somewhat weird.... http://www.casareal.es/casareal/dudas01.html

Quote:
The first is my favorite, from the trip in the USA, and about Letizia. I must set it up a bit, firstly by reminding you that Letizia is a great lover of literature and theater. When they were in NYC they went to the Hispanis Society of America, which has not only an amazing collection of paintings, but also of books. Including the earliest known edition of La Celestina, one of the seminal works of Spanish Literature from way back in the 1400s. Loosely translated it would be called "the matchmaker". This edition is from 1499, I believe. Princess Letizia specifically asked to see this edition. Apparently when she saw it and touched it she actually got teary eyed from the emotion. It's just not the kind of thing we hear about Princesses--stories tend to emphasize what they wear instead of who they are and this gives a glimpse into who she is and what matters to her. Two shorter ditties from the informal chat with reporters and guests at the Royal Palace after the National Day parade. Apparently our Prince Felipe was verily spilling over with pride as he talked about what a great team he and his Letizia make. While the Queen, whilts discussing what a great work ethic the couple has, offered as an example that three hours after landing in Madrid from their USA tour, they were already in their office meeting with their staff about upcoming activities. And here's just a nice photo of a smiling Letizia. http://www.elcorreodigital.com/vizca...D4RIO001_1.jpg Last edited by lucys; 10-14-2004 at 11:57 AM.. |

Another little anecdote or factoid for nouwrein: Apparently the village where the monestary is that they went to yesterday for the approbration of that awesome (from a linguistic standpoint it's actually very historic) panhispanic dictionary has a population of like only 200 people. The event/conference was held there because the monestary's library has the oldest know piece of written Spanish. I don't know why, I thought that was a curious detail.

The skirt that Letizia wore at the parade was so ugly! Women should avoid plain brown color.
