Is this today? In addition to the Prince Albert lunch and the anniversary dinner tonight? I am losing track with all their events. However, it's not listed on the casa real website.

Tomorrow they will see the football match Spain - Russia. The article says that last time the King even went into the dressing room to congratulate the players. I wonder if Queen Sofia was keen to go too but had to stay outside :)

I don't know if this was in the dressing room or somewhere else after the game but here's the famous picture of the King congratulating Luis Aragones:

The pics are funny because if you don't have a clue about the 2 couples you could guess that Felipe and Maxima are an item, hence the matching outfit colours. In the 2nd picture Letizia and WA seem to have spotted something really breathtaking they enjoy looking at whilst Maxima & Felipe have a chat. I am not a fan of Maxima's outfit but it underlines her vibrancy.

I agree with you on Maxima's outfit. She is probably the only Royal that could pull it off with such grace. I enjoy watching her vibrant personality and the fact that her loving husband lets her have the center stage. Good for them. They are each very happy in their own skins.

It is funny how Letizia moves away from Maxima when she fixes her hair. Letizia looks like she is going to school! Maxima, as always, looks great. I don't like the outfit too much but only Maxima can wear something like that and look great!

I have seen CP Maxima wear dresses, but she has unfortunately rather thick calves and ankles. Maybe she feels more comfortable not showing them as they are not her best feature.

Of course Letizia moved away - she was about to be hit by Maxima's hair. A very inappropriate way for Maxima to get her hair out of her face. Other than that - Maxima looks great and exuberant. Letizia has a very classic and lovely outfit on. Looks like silk blouse with ruffles at sleeves and around edges by front and collar and black pants in silk or other fabric with a lovely texture. Two very different women but both lovely in their own way.
 
I'm sure she probably had another outfit in mind. But, given that she is now in mourning her wardrobe will consist mostly of black and white. At least for a couple of weeks. I personally like Letizia's outfit a lot more than Maxima's. They definitely have totally different styles.

According to the press the Dutch Princes lodged at House of the Princes of Asturias and slept there. Albert of Monaco is a Chief of State, the Dutch princes not, because of it, he was invited in Zarzuela by the Kings, and they in the House of the Princes. There are going to be many Chiefs of State visits and of members of Royal Families, so they will have wanted to distribute it according to the ranges.

Thats what I've always thought! I find it incredubly frustrating at times, bec at the moment it certainly applies (IMO) without fail, every event

I keep thinking of Minnie Mouse when I look at her feet.:lol: I do wonder if she is having ortho problems after her two pregnancies and these shoes are constructed to help her stand on her feet for longer periods of time. Sadly, I speak from experience and I have yet to find an attractive pair of heels for long periods of standing and/or walking.

Three questions: Why do they refer to her as Princess Letizia Ortiz? Why do they still use her maiden name?
Aren't the floral skirts with the single colour top getting a bit monotonous?
What was that elder gentleman doing at the last photo?
