These are nice pictures but Letizia to me looks way too thin.:( I think she looked better with a little bit more of the baby weight on her, not quite so angular and skinny. But it is nice to see these pictures.:)

I fear tha I repeat me a lot but I can't resist to say that this couple looks absolutly fantastastic. Their presence in this kind of act is totaly tremandous. A mixing of physical beauty with a deep dedication to their work and a great touch of their love are making an extraordinary " coktail "( can we say that human being could be a " coktail " , jejejeje, sorry for th word )

Once time more the recipe ( sorry it's allways the "coktail") is an fansatatic success. I find the Letizia'line definitivley tremandous.

About her silhouette, the single thing that we can say it's she is very lucky to be like that without doing nothing. In my opinion it's the key of her resistance because as she is totaly healthy with her thinness without doing any diet to restrict herself, she benefit from a complete and balanced alimentation without reached a selective diet with wich it's difficult to have all the vitamina that we need.

Obviously the Letizia's shape is not a problem for Felipe, the fist to be interesed by that.....

Yes, they are thin, gorgeous, and care about their appearance ... unlike some of their royal and pseudo-royal peers spread across the continent.

Alcala de Henares also receives to the Principes with republican flags Angels Masterful larepublica.es A tide of republican flags accompanies the heir by that archaic thing called monarchy. And so that no act of the royalty is dull, the call already runs so that next day 13 in Leganés the flag tricolor of joy to those tried multitude baths of Felipe de Borbón. Meanwhile, Friday a group of people with the flags affluent hidden and the DNI outside its portfolios - in case they requested the documentation lowered to them of the bus and the unbearable heat struck to them completely in the face. Without incidents they arrived at the decided place; already there were there about 20 republicans more with the kept flags affluent. They waited for minutes more, so that more people were united. Next they were transferred opposite right to the corral of Cervantes where the princes left after taking a wine. Once there, they unholstered its "arsenal military: "tens of flags tricolors and a loudspeaker, tricolor also. They had already concentrated 60 people, the majority pertaining to the Communist Party of Spain, Red Current, Union of Communist Youths of Spain and United Izquierda. Two flags ondeaban to the stop, a tricolor with a red star and a Constitutionalist of the 31, with its shield, and by the part of behind, a flag of the PCE. Mottos were sung as "we want a pisito like the one of the principito", "you why you have won, to you who has voted to you", "borbones, to the elections" or "whatever hipocresía, whatever hipocresía, call democracy to the monarchy". The atmosphere was animated by percusionistas of the batucada-school "Repercussion". Close grandfathers, of that they count admirable batallitas, grasped the megaphone and intoned an exciting song dedicated to all republicans and republicans: "Of three colors painted, my republican, of three painted colors, red, yellow and dwelled flag" The princes left and the ladies of undid in praises the prince, but the republicans shouted more than ever. These had decided that the slogan to sing when they left would be "Spain, tomorrow, will be republican". The people of around shouted: "iros with Fidel". Principes was awhile taking a walk that way, until they approached the republican sector. Angels Masterful shouted "Felipe to him who lives the republic". The Prince saluted smiling. The Principes and the republicans went away. These last ones in big groups, to protect itself of extreme right-wing attacks. IU gives to the princes a speech of Manuel Azaña The Izquierda coordinator Unida (IU) of Alcala de Henares, Francisco Perez Esteban, will make to Princes de Asturias of an edition facsimile of the speech "the Spanish problem", pronounced by alcalaíno and president of II the Spanish Republic Manuel Azaña in the inauguration of the House of the Town of the Complutensian city the 4 of February of 1911. With this gift the Assembly of IU in the municipality tries to make arrive at Don Felipe and Doña Letizia "the knowledge of the figure and the vital trajectory from illustrious alcalaíno, intellectual and Spanish politician, Don Manuel Azaña". The edition that will receive Princes de Asturias contains commentaries on the illustrious writer, thinker and president of II the Spanish Republic of the writers and investigators Jorge Guillén, Jose Bergamín, Francisco Ayala, Ernesto Jiménez Horseman, Juan Marichal, Manuel Tuñón de Lara, Julia Saints, Hugh Tomas and Paul Preston, among others. Also, it contains a photographic news article of the last visit that made Azaña to Alcala de Henares, the 14 of November of 1937, and unpublished photos kept in the General archives from the Administration. The edition, of 1980, was work of Vicente Mountain Alberto and Jose Maria San Luciano.

Infantaleonor this web is republican and anarchistic, because of it it is called a "revolt".

These people are troublesome for the success of the visits of the Princes, and they want to stand out doing these protests. But the Prince in this occasion was more intelligent than they,he bring over to the zone where they were and he gave to them the hand. And this it was the notice, that the Prince had given them the hand, while others were insulting him.

It happened to the Queen a little seemed another day. When the Kings went to the Congress the deputies of Izquierda Unida side were going with an emblem of the republican flag. A deputy badly polite bring the queen over to show her ... the Queen with humor, said to her that it was very nice, and to the deputi the response caused anger. The Queen like the Prince in Alcala won with this provocation.

If we reed this article, we can see their are no many people to express this kind of opinion. We can't said that it's the majority.....and it's the normal game of the democracia.

Evidently. The groups that realize these protests are minority, in comparison with the hundreds of persons that it receives fondly to the Princes. In enclosed Alcala they took drums to do more noise.

They do it to acquire protagonism, because the political parties to which they represent need from protagonism to support the votes that have.
I believe that actually, it is something good, because it means it, that they cannot stand. If they organize this , they are recognizing in an indirect way that the visits of the Princes are a success and they do not like it.

I agree entirely with you and I like the way in which the prnce cover the subject...very intelligent

New bath of multitudes of the Princes of Asturias in their visit to Alcala de Henares

Third stage of the periplus of the Princes of Asturias for the municipalities of Madrid. This Friday in Alcala de Henares they were returning to repeat the same scenes of popular support to don Felipe and dona Letizia, that they have been nominated already Illustrious Visitors of the locality alcalaína. There they were acclaimed by more than one thousand of persons by those who reduced hands and interchanged embraces and enclosedly kisses, in the middle of a 'sea' of streamers by the colors of the national flag. In their meeting with the municipal Corporation, the Princes have demonstrated a " direct, nearby and concrete knowledge " of the reality of this locality of Madrid.
(...)

The close visit of the Princes of Asturias to a municipality of Madrid will be Tuesday, the 13th of June to Leganés.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It will be interesting to know the program of the visit of the Princes to Leganés. Leganés became sadly famous after the attempts of 11M, the terrorists had a flat rented there, and there they committed suicide with bombs, killing a policeman and stopping without house to many families.
In Alcala the Prince remembered the inhabitants of Alcala de Henareswho had died in the attempt (more than twenty because one of the trains was proceeding of there).

hee hee :D but she looks beautiful, nevertheless!

thanks to everyone for posting all these great, wonderful pics! the Princes are busy as bees yet they always seem to have the energy to reach out to the people. :) ;)

:p It's the great paradox of the beauty's canons. You have to beautiful compared with archetypes : classical as a greek antique or voluptuous Rubens or.... in this case as a fashion model... for a commercial trade mark for beauty products.

The last comparaison seems to me a little exagerated because the shot of Letizia in motion is a very good one, showing her stuning line and beautiful hairdo.

It's very funny because when the the Princess's hairdo is whithout any style or elegance, someones say she has a "sad hair", when she is wearing a pony tail, it's inadecuate, when her hairdo is sophisticated, she looks like fashion's model, and when her hair are free and moving, as for this event, she is the icon of commercial's trademark of shampoo!!! We have to hope that one day Letizia could to have a good hairdo .....:p:D

But, I agree totaly with you she looks absolutly beautifull:cool:

About the inauguration of the Instituto Cervantes in Palermo, it sounds quite interesting:

http://www.cervantes.es/seg_nivel/institucion/Marcos_institucion_principal.jsp

June 5th, 2006
The Princes of Asturias are going to inaugurate the new Cervantes Institute of Palermo today, in the capital of the Italian island of Sicily. Don Felipe and Doña Letizia will arrive shortly before 12:30 hours at the seat, located in the desacralizada church of Santa Eulalia of the Catalans, a constructed building as today we know it in century XVII.
The director, César Antonio Molina will take part in the inauguration acts; the mayor of Palermo, Diego Camaratta; the minister of Outer Subjects, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, and finally the Prince.
After discovering a commemorative plaque, the guests will hear the brief concert "Fandango in Re menor" of Antoni Soler (1729-1783), interpreted by the group of old music Capella Virelai.
Then, they will visit the library of the center, that takes the name of the Catalan writer Rescuing Espriu (1913-1985). The Princes will know the bottoms the library and will talk with Sebastià Bonet Espriu, nephew of the writer and professor of the Rescuing Foundation Espriu. Later Don Felipe and Doña Letizia will sign the honorary book and will know the classrooms and rest dependencies. The inauguration acts will conclude with the visit to the exhibition “simulated Stage scenes”, with works of the Collection Box of Towns: 17 sculptures of artists like Juan Muñoz, Francisco Leiro, Marina Núñez, Jaume Plensa or Eva Lootz, as well as a representative picture of Miquel Barceló, complement of the work that this one made and exposed in 1998 in the own church that now lodges the palermitano Cervantes.
Between the guests they will be the ambassadors of Spain in Rome, Jose Luis Dicenta, and before Santa Sede, Francisco Vázquez, who is in addition governor to Obra Spanish Pía-Establishment in Italy; people in charge of the Academies of the coofficial languages in Spain, the presidents of the Region of Sicily and the Province of Palermo, the directors of the universities of the island and personalities of the cultural and academic life of Sicily.
The building counts in the facade, of plateresco style, with shields and Aragonese busts of kings surrounded by laurel crowns. The building is property of Obra Pía - the old church, closed to the cult from the Second World war and of the city council - the attached zones.
