Almonte (Huelva) 22 feb (EFE). - The almonteņos today lived very special romeria when Princes de Asturias visited this the Blanca Paloma in the parish of Nuestra Seņora de la Asuncion in the Almonte, Huelva.
To the entrance of the temple of Almonte waited for the bishop to them of Huelva, Ignacio Noguer, that accompanied its interior to them in where it directed words to them to thank for his presence to them like "travelling" before the image of the Virgin, "that wakes up a close emotion".
After listening to before the throne of the Blanca Paloma the Salve Rociera, that the group Olivarejos de Almonte interpreted, directed by Luis Carlos Lamb and of which the Bishop pronounced an oration, Don Felipe and Doņa Letizia they received the Medals of Honor of the First Brotherhood of the Virgin of the Dew.
His president, Jose Joaquin Gil, gave one to each one of them, who hung themselves immediately to the neck, and another one to them more for his first-born, Infant Leonor, of whom today is the day of her santo.
Don Felipe and Doņa Letizia raised until the Dressing room of Reina of the Salt marshes to fulfill the tradition to kiss the mantle of the Virgin, something that later the Prince in his dedication in Libro de Honor thanked for.
More than five thousand citizens they hoped during hours to that Don Felipe and Doņa Letizia they reached seven from afternoon before Reina of the Salt marshes, that is the past in Almonte from month of August and where it will remain until end of May in that it will return to the village of the Dew, a tradition that turns every seven years.

The Prince of Asturias emphasizes that Doņana demonstrates that the sustainable development " is possible and profitable "

ALMONTE (HUELVA), 22 Feb. (EUROPE PRESS)-

The Prince of Asturias affirmed today that Doņana's National Park is the demonstration of which the sustainable development " is possible, profitable and helps to improve the quality of life ", something that, to his judgment, has to meet reflected in the Plan II of Doņana's Sustainable Development (PDSD), in which " the participation " has to be the axis vertebrador.

In his intervention forthwith inaugural of the II Days on Sustainable Development, in that he has been accompanied by dona Letizia Ortiz, the Prince said that with these conferences " there is opened an appointment of reflection and analysis, of consultation and information, of search and offer of solutions to confront - with sensibility, generosity and solidarity - the questions that the sustainable growth raises ".

Letizia is fantastic and beautiful. She looks more like she did around the engagment in 2003. I think the lead-up to the wedding and the months after made her very exhausted. She seems to be back to herself after having Leonor. :)

I've noticed that Letizia has a thing for her hair. I was looking through some old threads and there's a lot of pictures of her touching her hair. It's not a bad thing because I do that too but just something I saw. Her hair is gorgeous down (that seems to be hairstyle she's sporting recently) but I wish she put it up more often. I was looking through Letizia's Hair Styles thread and she some beautiful ones pinned up with curls. I didn't really like the recent up-do's she's done. Her hair blows very nicely though.

I like how Letizia is back working and is looking wonderful. A child can do magic to many people's lives. It usually makes a person look EXTREMELY tired or really glowing. Letizia seems to have gone towards the glowing side. :)

Princes de Asturias visited the Virgin of Rocio like two travelling more

ALMONTE. Thousands of almonteņos - more than 5,000, according to the local authorities they carried out one yesterday romería very peculiar. The neighbors of this beautiful Andalusian town, trained centuries ago in cheering their Virgin of Rocio, offered to Princes de Asturias one of the warmest welcomes and sonorous than they are possible to be imagined more when Don Felipe and Doņa Letizia went, "like two travelling ones", to venerate to Reina of the Salt marshes. Save rocieras, sevillana, repiques of bell, applause, alive and until rockets they sounded in the streets of Almonte, where he either did not lack chotis that interpreted the municipal band.

Romero atmosphere in Almonte to acclaim the Princes

...
If to its arrival to the temple the popular enthusiasm were overflowed because all wanted to salute to them, the exit became true romería when the princes, one by each side of the seat of the Virgin of Rocio, were walking and giving the hand all those that could until the end of the stroll. A route of not more than 50 meters extended almost half an hour during, while the bells of the parish repicaban, that later were replaced by the municipal band, which flattered to them with chotis.

Don Felipe and Doña Letizia, brothers of honor of Rocio

Princes received a suit of sevillana for their first-born, Infant Leonor, agreeing with the day of their santo
...
Once there, Princes de Asturias acquired another commitment with Almonte: to take to Infant Leonor to the Dew. That was the offer that made the First Brotherhood to the Heirs of Corona, whom announced that therefore they will do it in a future when the Infant is something greater. At the moment the small one already has received a suit of flamenco, donated by an individual, that received their parents yesterday. The suit, target with pink spots, has in addition all the own complements to the same one, like the shoes and the earrings.

Article from "La Vanguardia":
http://www.lavanguardia.es/web/20060...234400907.html
And it's ROUGH translation:
The Princes of Asturias venerate to the virgin of Rocio in Almonte VANGUARD - 23/02/2006 Efe. HUELVA
At the most touching moment of their yesterday's visit to Andalusia, the Princes of Asturias venerated to the Virgin of Rocio in the parish of Our Lady of Asuncio'n of Huelva), where she is the past from month of August. The image venerates habitually in the hermitage of the village of Rocio, twelve kilometers from Almonte, but traditionally, every seven years, the Coming from the Virgin to its town takes place, where the 101 brotherhoods alternate each weekend to visit it, which causes that the population happens of to almost 30,000 14,000 people this locality. Indeed the Martriz Brotherhood of Rocio of Almonte (Huelva) took advantage of the real visit to offer to the Princes the medal of honor of its congregation, since they were the only members of the Royal House that haven't had this distinction yet. Not only two, but three to them did not grant since also they had that detail towards new born infanta Leonor, who indeed celebrated her Saint's Day yesterday. The Bishop of Huelva, Ignacio Noguer Carmona, and the president of the First Brotherhood of Rocio of Almonte, Jose Joaquin Gil Goatherd, hoped, next to other representative figures of the brotherhood and the municipality, to the princes of Asturias to the doors of the Parish of Asuncio'n, where is the White Dove. To their arrival they had a warmest reception, since thousands of people hoped before their doors to be able to greet Don Felipe and Doña Letizia. Accompanied with the song by Salve Rociera, interpreted by the Chorale of Almonte and the Choir of Our Lady of the Rocio of the onubense locality, and also by animated Sevillian the Princes made its entrance to the temple. Don Felipe and Doña Letizia took advantage of the visit to kiss the mantle of the virgin of the Rocio and shaped their signatures in the honor book of the brotherhood. It was the distendido moment of their yesterday's trip to Andalusia, where they also visited the company of the Zone of Gibraltar and in Doñana, one of the more important natural reserves of the whole Europe, and declared reserve of the Biosphere by UNESCO. Felipe de Borbón and his wife Doña Letizia fulfilled a program filled with activities. If in the morning they inaugurated the new seat of the Official Camera of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of the Field of Gibraltar, located in Algeciras (Cadiz), in the evening presided over II the Days on sustainable development, in Almonte. The heir of Corona was in the Zone of Gibraltar during his official visit to Andalusia in 2002, and then he already could verify the special affection that professes to Corona the inhabitants of this region, whose history has been always marked by the problems of the Rock. The recibimiento was yesterday one of the warmest due to the presence of his wife, the Princess of Asturias, who was dressed in the combined gray American and dark trousers. Felipe de Borbón, emphasized during the inauguration speech that the "great work of the Chambers of Commerce to the service of the economy" of the seat of this institution of the Zone of Gibraltar, Cadiz. Don Felipe, offered "their better desires of success in the new stage that today begins" and sent a message "to all the society of the Zone of Gibraltar of which as today it has a modern building, representative and functional". On the other hand, the president of the Meeting of Andalusia, Manuel Chaves, bet in his speech for the Mediterranean cooperation and the alliance of civilizations. The Princes of Asturias discovered around 12,00 a plate in the occasion of the inauguration of the seat. To the entrance of the new building, they were received by the plenary session of the Camara and, after discovering the plate, they greeted the president of the Mancomunidad of Municipalities of the Field of Gibraltar, Juan Montedeoca, and to the mayors of this region.
