well, i think we can start getting used to the fact that letizia is blessed with one of those very tender frames and that most likely it comes rather natural to her.
Have you seen her sisters? All three of them are thin and with the same small but shapley frames--her sister Thelma is even skinner then Letizia. I think it is natural--although I'm sure with the nerves of the wedding she lost a couple of pounds. When I got married I lost 15 pounds--I wish I could do the same now!!! [/b][/quote]
So have another wedding!! :flower:

please can somebody again translate this, it speaks of Letizia's style i guess :flower:

yes it talks about how all the women are copying her dtyle now & how every time she steps out the press & all women are looking to see what she is wearing.

It goes on to talk about the Armani suit she wore at the engagement anouncement and how it was such a big hit it sparked "Letiziamania" in all the stores (the most popular).

Ten it talks about what she wore at the aniversary of the constitution where she (apparently had change much in style) wore a very conservative skirt suit with very high heels. Also talks about what she wore that night.

It says that they also were given a chance to see her on informal occasions like when she visited her family in Asturias. She word trousers, boots, a jersey with a high neck & a leather jacket. A similar look she had when going shopping in Madrid.

It least favorite look was at the reception for the Grand Council where she wore a tan skirt & jacket that hid her frame & wore no jewelry.

It talks about certain other things she wore at small events etc.. it is said she has been compared to Rania of Jordan.

One of the favorite was her Miguel Palacio silver outfit she wore for her cousin's wedding. (i think some one posted a pic of it here earlier)

it talks about the outfits she wore at the March 11 memorial services (but I won't go into that as I find it tacky to speak of outfits worn at funerals etc.).

It ends by saying they are eager to see how her style will evolve as she goes to more receptions & galas. They want to see her in tiaras & long gowns etc.

Sorry for the loose translation but it's a very long article.

PRINCESS LETIZIA: QUEEN OF SPANISH STYLE

Letizia Ortiz's transformation into one of Europe's most stylish princesses was a whirlwind one. Just six months after becoming engaged to Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, the TV newsreader made a stunning formal debut in royal circles, standing out even among the most dazzling of guests.

Since then, the cool-headed journalist has stepped effortlessly into her new role as national fashion icon, unfazed by the scrutinising eyes of the world.

Here, hellomagazine.com examines Princess Letizia's current reign as the queen of Spanish style

CAMERA READY
Before she became a princess, 31-year-old Letizia Ortiz was a high-profile journalist already familiar to the Spanish public through her job presenting the nine o'clock news on national TV.

At the time of her engagement, she'd recently arrived at the news desk, previously having been on location around the world, covering everything from the war in Iraq to environmental disasters. And as the ambitious young beauty rose in the ranks of the serious world of TV news, she had a subdued, no-nonsense wardrobe – black, grey and pinstriped suits – to match.

WEARING THE TROUSERS

The modern-day professional seemed to have an endless wardrobe of elegantly tailored trouser suits as she began to appear publicly at the side of her prince after becoming engaged in November 2003.

And while she would be faithful to Spanish designers on later outings, the emblematic white suit she chose for her official engagement announcement was by top Italian couturier Giorgio Armani. Copycat ensembles immediately began to appear in shops around Spain, and a Madrid wax museum's newly-minted Letizia figure also sported the crisp, two-piece look.

PRINCESS-TO-BE

Whatever the reason - perhaps it was an echo of her professional style, or just a desire not to stand out too much after her abrupt introduction to the Spanish public (as there was no knowledge of the relationship prior to the engagement announcement) - Letizia's post-engagement outfits were marked by two key elements: sober tones and conservative cuts.

Royal style watchers, who'd keenly noted the princess-to-be's penchant for trousers, also discovered another aspect of the TV beauty thanks to a new wardrobe of knee-length skirts. For the first time, the emerging fashion icon revealed a great pair of legs, which were accentuated by the towering heels she began to wear in order to stand tall next to her 6ft 4in fiancé.

SPANISH FLAIR

At the wedding of Prince Frederik and Princess Mary of Denmark, one week before her own nuptials, Letizia made her formal-wear debut in a pair of ensembles by Spain's Lorenzo Caprile. Both in eye-catching crimson, one gown was off the shoulder, the other worthy of the Oscars red carpet.

On the eve of her own wedding, she once again did not disappoint, donning another Caprile creation which accentuated her graceful neck. This time it was a silver affair, accessorised by sparkling sapphire and pearl jewellery presented to her as a gift by Queen Sofia.

And, like her mother-in-law, Princess Letizia has shown she is quite happy to recycle. The silk Caprile skirt from the Danish wedding reappeared in June, this time with a collarbone-skimming bodice in a similar tone.

TRUE COLORS

Embarking upon her new life as a princess, Letizia appeared to be expanding her wardrobe options. As spring blossomed, so did the new royal, opting for a softer palette of pastel hues as well as tailoring that flattered her model-perfect figure.

The "Letizia look" can these days best be described as feminine, with waist-hugging or belted jackets and softly pleated skirts among her favourites. And no ensemble would be complete without a coordinated clutch handbag with matching high-heeled pumps.

OFF-DUTY

While on holiday, honeymoon or any other less formal occasion, Princess Letizia falls back on her old favourites, trousers and earth tones. The simple elegance she demonstrates with her more formal wardrobe is reflected in the low-key classics – turtlenecks, black trousers, slim-cut jeans and white blouses – she selects for her off duty days.

Letizia's first year in the public eye has shown that her developing style goes hand in hand with her personality. "She is a typical 21st-century young woman," said a spokesman for the royal family. "She is independent, serious and responsible and she knows where she is going."

FAMILY FUN FOR LETIZIA ON THE MAJORCAN COAST

It seems Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain have been on the go non-stop since their May 22 wedding. But now, after trips to Jordan, Fiji and Mexico, the couple have returned home for some down time at the royal family's traditional getaway, Majorca.

The Mediterranean isle is the setting for the tenth Breitling sailing race, featuring King Juan Carlos, Prince Felipe and his sister, Infanta Cristina as participants. And keeping a keen eye on the regatta was Princess Letizia, who was relaxing with her mother-in-law Queen Sofia on a nearby yacht.

The new royal obviously gets along swimmingly with her tiny nieces and nephews as well, warmly embracing sister-in-law Infanta Elena's four-year-old daughter Victoria as they watched the race.

After hours, Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia can escape from they eyes of the world at the cliffside residence Sont Vent, which has recently been renovated for the use of the royal couple. The eight-bedroom, three-bathroom estate, which measures 500 metres squared, is surrounded by a garden and includes a terrace over looking the sea.
