According to a published report in La Vanguardia newspaper, Queen Sofia will be traveling to Southeast Asian countries hit by the tsunami at the end of February. In addition to "moral support" she will be "delivering" another round of Spanish humanitarian assistance. She will also meet with Spanish volunteers (I wonder if she'll see Letizia's sister who is in southeast asia with the red cross?)

From Elmundo:
The Kings of Spain offered last night at El Pardo a supper to the members of the Olympic Committee's (IOC) Evaluation Commission, who are visiting Madrid. Queen Sofía's son-in-law, Iñaki Urdangarín, was very affectionate with his mother-in-law, during the banquet. |

Is this a special kindergarten, in other words one highly subsidised for parents who both have to work for economic reasons? can not imagine her opening one for the children of yuppies. |
