It's a tradition that, every year, on March 5th, a member of the RF shall visit the church.
Last year, Felipe and Letizia went together to fulfill the tradition.

From La Casa del Rey:
1. The King met the Cuban minister for Foreign Issues, Felipe Perez Roque. The Cuban Minister is visiting Madrid in the course of his European tour to impel the normalization process of Cuba's relations with the European Union;
2. His Majesty the King received as well the European Commissioner for Human Rights, Alvaro Gil Robles, who is visiting Spain, to evaluate the situation of the human rights, with special attention to prisoners and immigrants;
3. The King received the mayor of Barcelona, Joan Clos, during the hearing to the Council of Administration of the Fira of Barcelona, presided by Luis Bonet. Don Juan Carlos was informed about the strategic Plan 2001/2010, with its objectives of innovation, technology, image, quality and enterprise criteria.

Great pictures pdas1201! Not too often that Sofia and her brother get together. Sofia looks positively thrilled to see Anne Marie.
I always love seeing pictures of Queen Sofia interacting with other people. Whether it's with another royal person or with a Spanish citizen or children, Sofia always seems to embrace them fully and give them that big grin of hers. She seems like such a personable individual.
