My observation:When the 60 birthday, the king also visited to the troops, in this occasion in Kosovo, and the prince accompanied him. This time, when supposedly the succession is more nearby etc. How that has not accompanied him? It he is that is a more important the elopement of New Year's Eve than his obligations as prince? We return to it of always, at the moment of the truth, he remains to half a gas and does not prefer his condition to his plans, as ride doing since he paired off with Letizia. Very badly, and it is going to comment, and if not to the time.

Marenostrum, probably before attacking first it is necessary to know.
If the Prince is going or not going, it is not his decision, but of the King and the Government. It seems to be absurd enough to think, that the Royal House and the Government risk organizing a trip to a place as dangerous as it is still Afghanistan of the King and the Prince together.
The King did not travel to Kosovo in his 60 birthday, but to Mostar, and the Prince was
not there.

What they celebrated together was the 35th birthday of the Prince and was in the Base of the NATO in Bétera (Valencia)

I think it's good that he's doing this and supporting the troops. Is HM the leader of the army like in some countries?

Yes, he is and the King is a genuine militar, not only a honorific office.
