I do not believe that it is a question of what the parents want or do not want. The hair of the children is changing when they are so little. Leonor had a very opened curl, and as her hair has been growing and has been cut, the root of the hair was straight. I believe that Leonor has the hair of the family of her father, hair curled between the straight one and the frizziness, which always is a bit rebellious. For example, her cousin Victoria was a girl with the hair very curly and every time she has it straight.

Actually when I was younger I had Shirley Temple curls too, but as I grew into a toddler my hair just turned wavy which is the way up to now. I guess it's the same thing with Leonor. She had curly hair when she was much younger, but notice her recent photos at the zoo and their Christmas card and her hair is turning wavy now. It's like some kids were born blonde (i.e. Elena and Felipe) but as they grow older they turn dark.
 
Leonor has her father's hair: color and texture, she will not have curly hair, it will be straight and dark blonde, like Felipe's or Cristina's

I have never seen Irene with curls like Leonor, she has always had wavy/straight hair

Anyway, I think Leonor looks better with the hair she's got now, besides curls are harder to handle, specially with a lot of hair ;)
 
Thanks for the photos.

Judging from the bright lighting and the fact that people were moving around them, I think the photos were taken either before the performance started or during the intermidiate break. During the performance, I'd think the lights would be dimmed and people would go back to their seats. They also don't look like photos taken by professional photographers. They seem to be taken by someone in the audience with a cell phone camera or small click-and-shoot camera.

I'm more surprised that security details are not apparent in the photos. I'd expect a bodyguard would sit behind her.

I think she looks like any normal two-years old girl in the circus, maybe a little scared for the clowns?

Of course she has curly hair, she has heredity of curled hair, her grandmother Paloma, her aunt Thelma, in fact, Borbon's hair are not specially straight;).. but girls, hair changes... anyway she's too cute for words, that's all :wub:

tell me about it. my mom had my hair treated and curled when i was five and it didn't really work out.:D my hair took a triangular shape when curled and then straightened out even further when the curls grew out.

as for Leo's hair, i knew she wouldn't have those curls for long, but she wouldn't have straight hair either. waves and curls are strong on both sides of her family.

I agree. Sometimes the lack of humidity will "straighten" hair temporarily. Leonor is still a toddler and her hair will possibly change texture over time.
 
Considering all the curly hair on both sides of her family she will very likely have the same. Besides most mothers like to make their little girls pretty - probably a leftover from playing with dolls. I did it although both I and my daugther are tomboys.
 
On that 5th Picture is the same way my aunt did to me when I was little if i was acting up or doing something I was not supposed to be doing
 
Leonor is such a doll! I love her wavy curls. She must get them from Paloma and Telma.
 
The curled hair usually look more curly right after the wash. As the day goes by, especially after a nap, have the hair brushed, it will look less curly for sure. The Shirley Temple curls look very cute on a little girl, but as Leonor grows up, I'd love to see her hair become straighter. Paloma's tight curls is ugly, she looks 10 times with straight hair. I think Telma has staright hair naturally after seeing a child picture of her.

Aww she seems totally hyper! Love the energy of this child. I am going to Palma del Mallorca this summer with my family for two weeks at the same time the family was there last year. Don't think I will bump into anyone though!

I just saw this video on Hola's website!! so nice to see her again!! she seems to enjoy a lot the circus!!!!!!!!
 
She seemed to have a great time at the circus! She shook her hair a lot, and it seemed like Telma had to put an arm around her to try and hold her still!

Paloma Barrientos, always she criticizes the Princes and the little girls, always she manipulates and exaggerates her version of the things to give a negative connotation. Certainly, before writing she might verify an information that is very easy to verify ... Leonor's age ¡, already several times she has written that she is 3 years old, when she is 2. :bang:

On bigheadshirmp list of pictures posted, the very last picture is funny. The look of innocence on Leonor's face when everyone was looking at her.....
 
I saw the video and I thought it was hilarious. So much for someone who said that she doesn't see a happy child enjoying a day out with her relatives but a picture perfect dressed up two year old girl who clearly looks uncomfortable :flowers:. I guess pictures don't tell a whole story.
 
Leo was cute and hilarious and all, but i actually found it scary that someone was sneaky enough to take videos of them and then these kind of videos make their way to websites like Hola's. i just find it terrible, these people can't even go to the circus and enjoy it peacefully.

;) That was me :flowers: I still think that on the pics she looks uncomfortable, maybe the film is from the beginning and the pics from later in the show when she got a bit fed up. She's only two and the truth probably lies inbetween great fun and too much. However, she's a lovely & bubbly girl!

I agree that filming her in order to make a quick buck is just disgusting.
 
well I think all of us like to see the video!!! So we can say that it is not correct to fil little Leo at the circus because it was a private event but we really enjoy to see her, so these kind of pictures are appreciated by everyone and I think it doesn't make any arm to little Leo!! She is a member of a royal family so she is also a public figure so she will just have to get use to this from this little age.
 
This girl is full of live:wub: She reminds me a little bit of Amalia.

I would liket to see these two tgether some day.
