Sometimes it gets lost I am afraid

Thanks Adelaide, that's the pic I meant. I guess she sensed some discomfort as Felipe looked very tired and annoyed by the fotoshoot itself - I think he had only returned from an overseas event.

Just imagine what people said if she did not cry at all in public - something must be wrong, mustn't it  But Leonor seems to be a very robust girl, most times in good spirits and no cry baby, at least this is what we see of her.

I fact she was furious because she hated her pink dress : " too little girlish for her !.....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

According to the journalist Mari Angeles Alcazar the Infanta Leonor will begin the nursery next week.

Today the same journalist has returned to do a commentary on the nursery, but I have been late and have not listened to it well ... I hope that next week we have some news in the topic. ;)

the baby leonor will go to the day-care center in these days and will be in the day-care center of Pardo where the children of the military of the royal guard go
she will not go to the school her aunts at the moment, for maximum security

I believe that it still has not been confirmed on the part of the Royal House, I already have listened and read several versions in the matter in the last week. Day-care center of El Pardo, private day-care center, infantile school of the Infanta Elena, school Santa Maria del Camino...

hello lula... this morning I listened to in the radio cope that the magazine pronto said thather would go to the school of her aunts... but at the end of the program they rectified the news and they said that would go to the day-care center of the pardo ... also I was seeing the program of ana r. quintana and said just like would go to the a day-care center of the pardo , in the end we must wait for the confirmation of the real house
saludos!!!

I would be surprised if Leonor was not sent to the school of her aunts. I saw an interview with Queen Sofia stressing how important it is that her children go to public schools (the system was different back then, probably no day care for toddlers but what I want to stress is her attitude), mix with "normal" children as early as possible, especially Felipe.

There will always be a security issue, no matter if day care, school, university etc but this shouldn't be the reason to send her to Pardo day care center where she only mixes with the children of staff.

Other royal houses have the same issues and they manage to send their children to public facilities and I hope the Princes will follow the example of other royal houses, do kind of a deal with the media and allow pictures being taken on the first day while Leonor should be left alone from then. I works elsewhere, why not in Spain.

The pic of the first day out at day care or at school of a royal toddler is always very special and such a nice opportunity for the parents to show how well the kid has done so far :)

I believe that you have certain confusion.

The Prince and the Infantas went to private schools. The children of the Infantas go to private schools.

In Spain there are private, public and compound schools. The real development of the public and free education, it came with the democracy ... for this reason and for the terrible policies of education of our politicians; the quality of the education publishes in Spain is very far from the quality that has the public education in the countries of Europa's north. In aspects like the education in languages the difference between the public school and the private is still enough big.

On the topic of the Infanta Leonor, if she comes to a day-care center she will do it only for 1 year, since in Spain the infantile education begins at the age of 3. Probably next year she goes to a school. In that moment she will begin indeed her education.

What they want now is to take to a place where she could share time with other children. And for it the day-care center of the Royal Guard is a good place. It is not the day-care center of the Royal House is the day-care center of the Royal Guard, that is to say, the place where the soldiers who work for the Royal House take their children (like other public organisations or private companies have day-care centers for the children of their workers) ; therefore she would relate to very normal children.

In addition, you mention the topic of the safety, and I believe that the safety in Spain is a topic more complicated that in other countries, and through that the Royal Family and the public charges live with more extreme safety measures than in other countries.

Nonetheless, no official information has confirmed anything with regard to this news, so all sound speculations.

Thanks for explaining lula. I just recall that Queen Sofia mentioned - translated into English - a public school. But that was a long time ago, things may have changed since then. I wanted to put more emphasis on her attitude, that she wanted her children to mix with others without a special treatment, at least not in terms of social issues.

In terms of education, Leonor will always have to do more then others, as Felipe, she will have a second edudation after school with private teachers, I believe.

I imagine that the Queen was referring that did not educate them in house, that they went to normal schools. ;)

Yes, I think so.

More information, I think this information is good:

ABC.es: nacional - nacional - La Infanta Leonor, mañana al «cole»

Infanta Leonor, first-born of Princes de Asturias, will begin to attend the day-care center of el Pardo qualified for the children of the members of the Royal Guard tomorrow... (...)... the center has been considered by Don Felipe and Doña Letizia the most indicated for this “first escolarización” and reunites to the necessary conditions of security and discrección.

Also Mariángel Alcázar, from La Vanguardia newspaper, give de same information:

... the day-care center is located in a wing of the military dependencies of the Royal Guard in the town of el Pardo, the princes of Asturias have chosen this center for security reasons and also to be guaranteed the confidentiality, given the condition of civil employees and the military of the parents of the children who go to the day-care center.

You are welcome.

At the moment, there isn't information abaut any possible photoshoot, we must hope. :ermm:

At the moment there is no confirmation of the Royal House. Not if they will give some information more or not. The girl continues inside the House somehow, probably have more felt that next year when she begins the school, is when one gives of a " more serious " form the exit to her education. It will be necessary to wait to tomorrow.

I don't that there will be a photoshoot, they want to keep it totally private and the main reasonf for their choice was security but also to let her have some privacy always in the Palace circles! I think we will never get to see Infanta Leonor first day in daycare because her parents just want that way always private issues!

According to the article of HOLA, we will see photos of Leonor this Friday. She will go with her parents tomorrow wednesday only to know the day-care center(I do not know if we will see them), and Friday will be officially her first day of school ,and YES we will see photos of the little doll:wub:

I am pessimistic on the information of Hola, they go months saying that she was going to go to a school to which for the present time she is not going to go, so its news is not very trustworthy.

Until I do not see anything in the web of the Royal House, or a note of the Agency EFE like that today has confirmed that will go to the School of the Royal Guard confirms it, I will not believe myself that there will be photos.

I hope Hola is correct, I would love to the little Infanta again so soon. She is so adorable and I would love to see pictures again.

Leonor irá por primera vez al "cole" esta semana - Gente - www.elperiodicodearagon.com

Leonor will go for the first time to the school this week

The Infanta Leonor, first-born of the Princes of Asturias, will go from this week to the school, in the Infantile School of El Pardo, at which there are present the children of the royal police officers. The small one, which next October 30 will expire two years, will go to the center that in February, 2005 there inaugurated her grandmother, the Queen, where she will share games and learning with the children of the members of the RoyalGuard, body that one entrusts of the safety of the Royal Family and that arose in the epoch of the Catolic Kings.

The School, for children from 0 to 3 years, has approximately forty seats, in a few modern facilities in which the small ones learn to relate, principally, to other children, and all that that will make confront to them with more fluency the first compulsory educations. The infantile School brings together all the requirements that make it be most adapted for the small Leonor, since it is the safety and the nearness with her residence.
...

Leonor will benefit from having others to socialise and play with. At some of the recent photo shoots it appears that she is the centre of attention and mixing with others will help that. (JMO) :flowers: She is an adorable little princess though.

I'm glad she's going to get a chance to play with other children and develop her social skills with kids other than her cousins. It's a very important stage in any child's life.

Every time a little royal is going to school everybody is saying and resaying the same things ad repeating exactly the same arguments? Are you able to reasoning?

In the thread of the Royal Family vacation, the same person who is here, rejoicing about the poor Infanta going to school so young, objected that Infanta Leonor and Irene, her cousin, were not yet, able to be great friends, for in this age, little boys and girls are more concerned in themselves...Which is right. Boys and girls are able to play with each other (to "socialize", as it is called nowadays) only between four and five years old. Before they culd "interact" only in a sporadic way, without founding really durable friendship ties.

I should not be opposite that the Infanta goes to school...later in her life. Four should be a nice age. Before she would need to developpe a personality, and to now more her family. This first etape is "the family one". The child is centered in her/himself and the very close sourroundings.

I'm a teacher and I must study all children etapes before I could won my diplome. But this new "Spartiate" fundamentalist modern people is determined to show that even a baby must go to a place were little babies are all together, ready to be educated by the State. I shouldn't name this kind of education, for politics is forbidden here. But I'm sure you'll be able to name this all by yourselves.

Vanesa, I see your point and I agree family is very important but I do not think they are trying to educate her now. She is just going to play and do fun things( 2 is not too young to play with other children). They just want to get her used to being out and around people and kids her age and the sooner the better because that interaction will benefit her as she gets older. Many people do not realize that this helps little children ( especially the shy ones) so much in becoming more outgoing and in a couple of years help develop a great, outgoing personality. I do not see any harm.

I'm sorry, but just because there is no fotage of Leonor playing with children that are not her cousins does not mean that it does not happen.

Exactly. Plus, what would be the alternative? Both her parents are usually not at home during the day so Leonor would more or less spend time with her nanny. From that perspective, it's much better to send her to a day care center, where she can be with other children around her age.

During this time our dear little Sofia is growing up a lot and we are going to have a "commotion" the first time thar we shall see her.....

May be for the next Leonor 's birthday, we shall have a Sofia 's pic together with all this too estupendous family. More tha a suposition it's a wish!
