Some people seem to have a hard time grasping the concept of "IT" factor. You don't "encourage" or coach someone into having the "IT" factor. You can't. It's an innate quality.
And NO one here says other kids without the "IT" factor is "worth less" or "less intelligent". "IT" factor usually decides who becomes a star and who doesn't. It has nothing to do with "worth" or "intelligence". You can be a shy genius who wins the Nobel prize without the "IT" factor.
I have to disagree with you on Leonor's behavior at earlier days. She's different from other kids from the start. She's not just calm, she almost never cried. She's never afraid of strangers who were shouting her name or snapping her pictures. She never hid her face in her parents' arms as a lot of other kids do. She also never showed irritation with all the commotion like some kids do (a couple kids come to mind). She looked at them curiously, seeming to try to find out who these strangers were.
Now she seems to have found out all these strangers are just her "adoring public" and she could show her personality as in front of family and friends. She's an instant star from the time she ran away from her father and ran toward the photographers outside of the hospital where her mother just gave birth. She wanted to show off her new toy - the duck - to the photographers. All the photographers - and the public - melted at the spot.
