Elena as elegant as ussual; she didn't used to be so elegant (you know, those final touches) but since her marriage w/ Marichalar she have acquired a great sence of fashion and in the Spanish Royal Family she's just "The Body" w/o any doubt.

elena looks impressive in every single one of her outfits! i specially loved the grey ones (the one with the skirt and pulled down hair and this last one): a nice polished and elegant look.

wonder who designed those beautiful outfits for her...

These of Elena is more sofistiscared as Elena her self with the naked shoulders - splendid-

Nueva Yorqua seems to be the last place where you have to be to be seen. I think for example to Ysabel Praysler or but may be I'm wrong, the associate of the Duke of Lugo for the promotion in Spain of the shoes of Jymmy Choo ( I'm going to check because I forget her name sorry )

Nati Abascal, she came with the designer Valentino. And the shop of shoes is of Manolo Blanhik.

Your are faboulous, My Dear, I had recognized Valentino ( with his fantastic " tan") but for Nati Abascal I was looking for her name and I'm wrong for the shoes even though I pretend I'm a specialist.....

Thank you all for the wonderful pics!
Elena looked so beautiful, over the years we have seen her in several black and white evening dresses and it's always been quite impressive! Instead of visiting the Guggenheim museum in New York, Elena and Jaime could have also come to Germany, there's a big collection of Guggenheim pictures shown here for some months..

Dukes of Lugo inaugurate exhibition of Spanish painting

The infanta Elena and her husband, Jaime de Marichalar, Dukes of Lugo, inaugurated this night in the Museum Guggenheim of New York the exhibition ' Spanish Painting of the Greek one to Picasso: Time, Truth and History '.
It is a question of a retrospective of 135 works, that they come from more than 70 collections institutional and deprived of the whole world and that it offers a wide historical panorama of the Spanish painting of last five centuries.

The exhibition organized by the Foundation Guggenheim and the State Society for the Cultural Action in the Exterior (SEACEX), will remain opened until March 28, 2007.

After the inauguration a dinner of show was celebrated in the own museum, presided by the Dukes of Lugo and which they attended more than one hundred of guests, between whom there were appearing Carlos Westendorf, ambassador of Spain in the USA, and Juan António Yáńez-Barnuevo, chief of the mission of Spain before the UN, besides representatives of the world of the culture.

The sample organized by topics, and not for chronological order like it is in the habit of doing habitually, gathers compositions of, between others Zurbarán, Murillo, Velázquez, Goya,Gris , Miro and Dalí.

The works monks have classified under fifteen different topics, between them, taverns, landscapes, the domestic world, women publicly and tearful women.

Between other sections the virgins and mothers stand out, nudes, childhood, monsters, gentlemen and ghosts, ladies, crucifixions, fallen and rockets
The work of Goya ' Children of the Cart ', who was foreseen that was forming a part of the exhibition, could not appear, since it was stolen last week in Pennsylvania during movement to New York from the Museum of Art of Toledo, in Ohio (USA).
