En su proposición no de ley Eduardo Zaplana aporta una completa información acerca del proyecto que se pretende desarrollar en Verín. El circuito estará ubicado en los pueblos de Mandín y Feces de Abaixo, junto a la frontera portuguesa. Esta zona «es el punto de confluencia entre Galicia, Portugal y la Meseta, articulada y conectada adecuadamente por la A-52 en España y la IP en Portugal -que une Oporto con Verín-. Ourense será además nudo de alta velocidad de Galicia y enlace directo con Madrid». Además de las ayudas a las que se pueda acceder a nivel provincial y autonómico «también se podría tener acceso a los fondos transfronterizos de la Unión Europea».

Según el portavoz del PP en el Congreso para desarrollar este proyecto se cuenta con la gestión de Octagon-esedos -la firma a la que está vinculado Iñaki Urdangarín- y con «el aval de las diferentes Federaciones Nacionales y Portuguesas». En lo referente a las actividades a desarrollar en el circuito, éste se va a especializar «y diferenciarse en los sectores del vehículo industrial, comcercial , autocares y otro tipo de maquinaria, esto sería en el Área de I+D».

Las previsiones en relación al circuito de alta velocidad de Verín pasan, según la iniciativa de Zaplana, durante el primer año por la organización de «eventos deportivos tanto de motociclismo como de automovilismo, de relevancia nacional e internacional. Con este centro se pretende complementar y no ser competencia de centros de alta tecnología de la automoción a nivel europeo». Además de las gestiones realizadas por Ourense, en Chaves se está construyendo un área de logística de I+D y almacenaje, lo que daría al circuito un carácter internacional.

April 25th - Infanta Cristina presided over the prize-giving ceremony of the Design National Awards. The winners were the Argentinian Juan Gatti and the Spanish Josep Narbona ex aequo and the Metalarte Company for implementating a global design politic during the last 50 years.

The Duke of Palma,
in a yacht in Mallorca
The Duke of Palm is part of the company of sailing ship of Azur Puig that has participated in the first disputed yacht this morning, belonging to the XXXVI Trophy Princess Sofía cruises. This yacht that is disputed in Balearic waters, will be prolonged until next day 1 of May.

Queen Sofia and Infanta Elena, together with her two children, Victoria and Felipe, went yesterday to Barcelona, to attend the birthday of Miguel Urdangarin. The youngest grandson of the King and Queen, whose godparents are the Prince of Asturias and Lucia Urdangarin (the youngest sister of Iñaki) turned three years old.
Queen Sofia and Infanta Elena visited Infanta Cristina and her three children, Miguel (3), Pablo (5) and Juan (4), and the nephews of Iñaki Urdangarin. After the infantile celebration, they enjoyed the sunny day to calmly stroll in family.
Cristina de Borbón, who will turn 40 years old on June 13th and is expecting her fourth child, showed Queen Sofia and Infanta Elena the new house the Dukes of Palm recently bought in Pedralbes, and whose reforms have already started. Infanta Cristina and Iñaki Urdangarin live in an apartment that, since the birth of Miguel, became too small.

I don't think you can say they always do but they seem to a lot of the time.

As it seems she and Inaki both have busy schedules (both work as well as performing some royal duties), it would probably be easier for Cristina when she does get a chance to shop to just buy everything in triple but just vary the size. My aunt has three sons and when the boys were younger she used to do that to save herself time. If she had to buy swimming trunks she'd get them all the same pattern or print (less fighting that way, too, she said) and save herself from having to shop store to store.

Iñaki Urdangarin takes part of the Princess Sophia Sailing Trophy (which is taking place these days in Palma de Mallorca), as crew of the Azur de Puig; a vessel that is usually managed by his now 8 month pregnant wife.
