quite unusual, cristina took her children to swimming classes and then took pablo and miguel in their pijamas to save time so that they could go straight to bed...

many people were surprised because of that.

the whole article (from diezminutos), that doesn't say much more than what i previously wrote:

Doña Cristina, who returned to work at the beginning of September, is not very pleased with the photos that have been published in some magazines, showing her children Pablo and Miguel dressed in pyjamas, when leaving the swimming classes. The monitors of the swimming pool usually dress the children in their pyjamas, when they leave the pool, so that they can go straight to the bed, although some mothers prefer to change their clothes, when they pick them at the classes. However, in the life of every mother, there’s always a day when you being in a hurry coincides with the children being in the sulks and, when that moment arrives, the peace is chosen before the aesthetic considerations. The hazard is if in that precise day, you’re made a photo…

Really! If Cristina didn't want her kids to be pictured in their pyjamas after their swimming classes then she should've PUT THEM IN STREET CLOTHES.
She can't complain about this.
It was her OWN doing.

I think it's comprehensible that she is a bit disgusting with all this.
I believe that the problem isn't the fact that the kids were photographed, the problem is that everyone have talked about this in Spain as if it's were a eccentricity or something really important. Come on! They are on every Spanish magazine's covers this week!

If she did not want to be talked about as if she were some eccentric family then she should've dressed the kids in street clothes.
Give the press NOTHING to talk about then.

Well, I see what you mean, Vicomtesse... and it seems that's what Cristina usually does (although many mothers take their children as that, without changing their clothes)... the problem is that she is human and this is a real (more than royal) family... and like it happens in every real family, sometimes the mother is in a hurry and the children are in the sulks... that's not a big deal... but the press always likes to explore these little things and turn them into something more important that what it really is...

Infanta Cristina inaugurates IES and cooperative society The Villages (Jaen)

The Infanta Cristina inaugurated today in The Villages (Jaen) the amplification of the Institute of Secondary Education (IES) The Tambourine, as well as the new facilities of the cooperative oil bottle San Isidro during a visit of little more than two hours to this small municipality of 5.264 inhabitants.
The visit of the Infanta began at 11 a.m. in the Town hall of The Villages where she was waited by approximately 400 neighbors who were occupying the whole square expecting to see closely for Dona Cristina.
From before 9 a.m. there were entire families waiting in the square annotated with fences, as in the whole tour for which the Infanta went on from her arrival in helicopter to the field of football of the municipality.

Balconies adorned with Spanish flags, shawls and quilts were marking the procession headed by Dona Cristina and accompanied by the delegate of the Government in Andalusia, Juan Jose Lopez Garzón, and the counselor of Presidency, Gaspar Zarrías, besides the mayor, Carmen Anguita.
The Infanta dressed in a suit beige of diplomatic stripe, was received by plaudits and by shouts of ' pretty, pretty ', while she was greeting on the verge of the Town hall thirteen councilmen who shape the municipal corporation.
The visit followed in the IES The Tambourine where Dona Cristina inaugurated the works of amplification and visited some dependences as the library, the teachers' room and three classes with pupils of the first and third of IT as well as of second of Baccalaureate.
