"Det har været nogle meget dramatiske dage for alle, fordi vi ikke vidste, hvilke tal, vi havde med at gøre. Det er slet ikke kun turister, det er gået ud over, men samfund, der har levet af fiskeri og turisme, og hvor alt i dag er smadret," sagde dronningen, da hun og prinsen mødtes med de fem nødhjælps­organisationer i indsamlingen.

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik have donated over 100,000 kroner to the relief effort in Asia after the Tsunami.

-These have been very dramatic days for everybody, because we don´t know how much we need to do. It is not only tourists who have been affected but communities with fishermen and tourists, where all things considered, their days(lives, I guess) have been destroyed, said the Queen as she and the Prince met with 5 relief organizations who are helping those affected by the Tsunami. Under henvisning til H.K.H. Prins Henriks planlagte åbning af HCA-udstillingen på Bibliothèque Royale de Belgique i eftermiddag (kl. 17), må det desværre hermed meddeles, at H.K.H. Prinsen på grund af togstrejke i Frankrig (hvor Prinsen befinder sig for øjeblikket) har måttet aflyse sin rejse til Bruxelles og dermed også sin deltagelse i åbningsceremonien.

It seems that apparently, the prince might have to cancel his trip to Brussels for the opening of a HCA exhibition at the Bibliothèque Royale because of the strikes in France. He is in France at the moment. It was due to take place this afternoon at 17:00 or 5 PM.

Does Queen Margrethe has Lady-in-waiting everybody?

According to the Danish newspaper BT, Queen Margrethe will introduce her biography just in time for her 65th birthday in April this year. The biography, "Margrethe", is written by journalist Annelise Bistrup and will be a chronicle over Her Majesty and the time she has reigned. The presentation of the book will take place at Fredensborg Palace just before her birthday in April. On her actual birthday, the Queen will make an appearance at the balcony as usual - but will aside from that not hold any larger celebrations.
