Billed Bladet has a lovely new article plus a photo series about Carina and Gustav.

Give me a minute to translate and write a short summary (I'm still learning Danish so don't be too hard on me) or if another member who speaks perfect Danish would like to translate the article, using your own words, we would be very grateful.

Prince Gustav is fortunate no he can be display one kreste forth. Though "formaliteterne no are you order" proves Carina considered [I believe part of the family] svigerdatter of Berleburg.

Even though they are not engaged the Prince from Berleburg and Carina Axelsson are a perfect team. They strler from krlighed, and Prince Gustav is trdt better to mark to lbet from they three r, team has vret krester.

The 38 year old exuberant Prince Gustav has finally found peace and happiness after his loss of relationship to the French woman, Elvire de Rochefort. Carina glowing with the "...by the banquet fortller", Finn Wohlert. He is chairman by Haderslev Skydeselskab from 1857, they are there to celebrate the jubilee at The Hotel Concord. Here the happy family together with Carina and Prince Gustav along with Princess Benedikte and Prince Richard.

Billed Bladet has another article that mentions Carina along with Princess Benedikte (which was the main focus of this short article.) Click here to read it.

Photos of the couple: here, herehere, here, here, here, here, here, and finally here

Well, this Carina is undoubtedly a beautiful woman but in that one photo I find her neckline a little bit too risky...(Benedikte seems to second that) Her breasts IMO don´t look natural.... And this Gustav is really not my cup of tea. He starts aging slowly and I always have the impression that he´s a bit snobby and arrogant.

Really? When did she say that? Or was there a gesture recently made by Princess Benedikte that would validate your statement?

i quite like the way she dresses. she seems to choose appropriate colours and patterns and looks pretty in quite basic but classy outfits. in my opinion, not overdone, but just the right amount of innovation and clasicism without looking aloof or too over the top.

On the site about the funeral of the Queen Mother, it says Prince Gustav attended - who is he?

Memorial sites > The Queen Mother > Funeral arrangements > Funeral ceremonial

they are probably talking about Prince Gustav, Prince zu-Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, son of HRH, Princess Benedikte (Queen Margrethe of Denmark's sister).

Ah thanks. I thought so, it was quite confusing. I wonder why he went without Princess Benedikte? Anyway, thanks!

This is a very interesting thread! I'll have to keep checking back for updates. I think eventually the courts will overturn the Will and they'll marry.

I just read on another message board that it is Prince Richard's brother, Prince Robin, is the one that wants the will withheld. His first wife I believe was swedish (possibly a model, but please correct me if I am wrong). His second wife is a Catholic. I don't see how he could possible inherit.

Anyone have more info, please enlighten me.

I think the will should be over turned. It's the 21st century!

No, not at the moment. However, I'm sure if breaking news about the case emerges someone will let us know. So far, all has been pretty quiet and underwraps.

I think it is very likely that she will be there. It seems as if the extended family consider the two engaged - that it is only because of events beyond their control that they are not long since engaged and perhaps married.

I concur. Carina has been welcomed into the DRF with open arms. Not only has she been invited to all the latest family functions, including the christening of Isabella, she has also spent time with the DRF such as the annual hunt at Grib, and was apart of the Grasten family photoshoot this past summer. Moreover, she has attended official events alongside her beau, Prince Gustav and Princess Benedikte.

So it is easy to conclude that Carina will attend the wedding in the spring 2008. Unless of course something comes up at the last minute.

As of late nothing has been set nor have I heard of any late breaking news about the couple.

To be quite honest, I don't believe we will see a resolution anytime soon. Marriage between the couple is still possible, but that would mean Gustav would lose everything he currently has.

Thank you for the response.

It is a sad thing that in order for him to marry his love, he would forfeit his legacy. I read on other boards, that it is his Father's brother, Prince Robin, who is requesting that he marry according to the Grandfather's Will.
