lucky her to use such a beautiful piece!

That is a beautiful tiara. I hope she wears it again. When Mary, or Marie, want to borrow a piece how does that work? Who do they ask? Wonder if anyone is ever turned down?

I remember the stripping for Peters wedding. :flowers:
Have they not done the ten little things before now? I remember it?
I think they have; I seem to remember a comment somewhere in a Danish newspaper or magazine 'Lucky Mary ....' :D

How many times do they have to post this article? Once should be enough unless they have an axe to grind.

I may be wrong, but I think that the Danish royal ladies have never borrowed tiaras so I don't think there is any precedence of this. I so hoped the royal family had acquired this very beautiful tiara for their collection (still crossing my fingers that we may hear that some rich person, like Mærsk McKinney-Møller, have purchased it as a gift for the royal collection ;)).

I hope that the tiara stays with the Royal Family in particular Mary, it is beautiful. It was part of an exhibit of Danish Royal Tiaras that Mary "borrowed" from to wear at a gala. I think that it was designed as a honor to Mary and her Australian roots as it represents the wattle flower, a native to Australia. If I am incorrect I hope someone with provide the correct info.:flowers:

Is there a picture of the tiara somewhere, I can't seem to find one. :flowers:
Here is one of Mary, courtesy of PPE-agency, wearing it at the gala for prince Henrik's 70th birthday - [DNF] Fotoarchief Denieuwsfoto

And a close-up here En parade af prinsessedrømme på slottet | Fri (From berlingske fri.dk)

If you click 'Sådan laver man en tiara' under the smaller picture of the tiara further down, you'll see a series of 9 pictures of how this 'midnight tiara' was created.

I agree, very interesting. It is such a wonderful Tiara.

Mary looked wonderful in her recent engagement, I hope both Mary and Frederik do some engagements together soon. :)

Thanks UserDane. I really like the tiara and brooch. It is quite different to the usual styles that we see. :flowers:

I heard about this on the radio yesterday. How wonderful that they attended. I wonder if they met "Hamlet" :flowers:

yes, seems like a nice outing, particularly since it's happening in the castle and in denmark!

regarding the tiara, was that a present to mary or is the tiara going to be for the royal family?

The bag she used when watching the play 'Hamlet' is Chanel. The cubes at the end of the handles show the Chanel logo. She's had this bag since 2003, before she married Prince Frederik.

Princess Mary with her bag, you can see the cubes: http://i337.photobucket.com/albums/n374/royalmb/mary/chanel/chanelbag.jpg

Same Chanel bag purchased at Neiman-Marcus:

Ok thanks for correcting me! I thought it was her prada because it's the same colour as the one she had this summer but on pics I couldn't see very well so I made a mistake!:flowers:

The thing that confuses me is why bring it up a year later

I guess because its an issue that shall arise each and every time they visit. And it would be my assumption, that Mary would wish to continue visiting her homeland for many years to come.

Its good to see that the it has something to do with the law rather than Fred or Mary complaining out loud about it.
The thing that confuses me is why bring it up a year later, couldnt the police do something with the them outside the house during their visit.

I had the feeling that Mary enjoyed the cameras during her visit to Australia last year. I do remember the photo sessions at the playground and I also do think that the nappies-episode was in a way arranged. So the banning of cameras might be not easy to cope with for Princess Mary....

:previous: This subject was discussed ad nauseam at the time of the Crown Prince Couple's visit to Tasmania last year. It will not be rehashed again in this thread. There was enough speculation at the time. If you feel you must add your two cents' worth, do so in the appropriate thread.

Thanks for your cooperation! :flowers:

I quite agree. If Mary and Frederik had said something, they would certainly have been criticised. :)
