Frederik, Mary and Children Picture Thread 1: November 2004 - September 2014

Let's take a trip down memory lane to 2009 where this delightful little moment took place. It can only make you smile :)

Little 2-year-old Bella couldn't resist the lonely balloon that flew back and forth in the wind. Bella tried to catch the balloon, but it constantly blew away until a nice Guardsman picked it up and gave it to Bella.
Shortly after the balloon again blew out of the arms of Isabella, but luckily older brother Christian was fast and caught the balloon so he could gave it back to his little sister.

couldnt we open a new thread with all the lovely official photos from frederik&marys 10th wedding anniversary?..that would be lovely.. also in the future..so we dont have to look all the general news thread through? i see the spanish crown prince couple have a separate thread :)

I agree. its a shame that a special occasion like the 10th wedding anniversary is now mixed in the middle of the general news thread.

Not only did we get the lovely photos but past galleries and articles on their first 10 years :flowers:

When this was first requested, weeks ago, the Danish forum moderators discussed the matter and decided that a new thread was not required. We have not changed our mind on this. Just because a thread has been created in another forum, does not mean a similar one needs to be created everywhere. The Danish forum runs in a different manner to the Spanish forum.

The dates on all the current events and general news threads are also there for a reason - to easily find something that you know the date of without having to search all the threads.

Also, requests regarding threads/moderating matters are to be PMed to the moderating team, not discussed in thread, as per forum guidelines.
 
have said it before, say it now and will say it again.. those glances those two send each other :wub:

These are so cute. Isabella is a favorite of mine, and I thought she was the most winsome little girl. I hope life turns out well for her. :flowers:
 
browsing for pictures of mary in 2004 for another thread, i spotted this picture which i had never seen before taken by a visitor to the athens olympic games who spotted and chatted to frederik and mary and then took a picture. he first approached mary talking to her about her necklace:

At the Athens Olympics I was at the Sports Illustrated Party. It was a fantastic party. A lady walked past who had a huge funny necklace on where I just throughout the random comment “great necklace”. It wasn’t really. It was quite terrible really. It started a great conversation though. She was from Tasmanina, I’m from Cobram. Five minutes into the conversation the boyfriend came over. He was a Danish fella. I thought I’d better quickly make sure that I wasn’t chatting his Mrs up so made a solid effort at having a “befriending” conversation. His Tassie girlfriend slipped to the side and talked to other people as me and my new Danish buddy talked about the wild nights that his city of Copenhagen can put on. I was explaining my 2 week vacation there when I was a 22 year old backpacker. I was having the time of my life there meeting beautiful Danish ladies. We drank a couple of beers together while we had a great chat about life. At the end of our chat, we said our goodbyes and got a quick photo with my new best friends. After they walked away my two Aussie friends ran up to me and said “Do you know who that was?” “No” I replied. “That was Princess Mary and Prince Frederick of Denmark”. Where I replied, “Oh ****, some of the stuff I just told him wasn’t fit for a Prince”

I'm home now and on my computer and I see I'm totally off. You're right, they are two different dresses. The dress last year is also shorter. I'm blaming my little screen on my mobile ;)
