Before Mary went to Roskilde, Mary participated in the Young Global Leaders' seminar about 'Efficient Energy Deployment' in Copenhagen:

Yes...She looks absolutely fantastic! And above all...she looks very happy! And how wise to promote reading when the children are about to go off on summer holiday! This is far more important than the skirt CP Mary is wearing (IMO)!

To the Danish posters...when do summer holidays start for school children?

I sometimes think about... it impossible can't have been easy to go through what she had. I dare not think about how much pressure, frustration and privation there must have been along the way (same for the others external CP's) From the bottom of my heart it warms me to see how happy she always looks. She looks like she is landed right there where she is happy.

The summer holiday for our children will start next Friday. And will end on August 11.

Thanks! A very long summer vacation...good for children to keep reading during that time!

Well done MaggieDenmark! Great photos and first hand reporting. When you said you were shaken-well I was the same after my encounter last year.

I bet you keep this in your memories forever!!:)

In these hours Mary presents "The Hans Christian Andersen Litterature Award" in Odense Concert Hall, Odense.

BB article: Forsinket kronprinsesse Mary hyldede Salman Rushdie | Billed Bladet

BB tells that due to traffic problems Mary was delayed. Rushdie's writings have been considered controversial in several parts of the world which has given him as many enemies as fans and has made the security in Odense these days very high. Mary said that she is an admirer of Rushdie's writing which she told him when they met at an informal photo session after the show.

Right now Mary participates in the event "Invest in women and girls - it brings progress for all" in Landstingssalen, Christiansborg Palace. It's only an hour since she arrived, but BB is fast with a picture already:

Interesting article about Mary's work behind the scenes:
Kvinder på dagsordenen i København - Nationalt | www.b.dk

With the support of Crown Princess Mary has Denmark won the contest of becoming the host country for a major international conference on women's rights.
Our Minister of Trade and Development, Mogens Jensen says that: "The Crown Princess has worked hard to get women's conference to Denmark and she has made a powerful lobbying and I think it has had an impact on that it landed in Denmark and not in the Netherlands, which was our main competitor in the end."

If I'm correct, the conference, Women Deliver, as Denmark/Mary will host in 2016 is the conference Mary also attended last year in Central Park, New York City right?

That was the 'Global Citizen Festival'. She attended as a member of High-Level Task Force for ICPD.
There were also meetings at the UN connected to the Task Force/UNFPA.
Mary has attended Women Deliver conferences in Malaysia 2013 and 2010 in Washington.

^^ we see now and then that mary (and frederik) has events that are not written in the official calendar..i heard from one of the billedebladets journalists that it happens once in a while simply to be able to fully concentrate on their work without the press running around all time:)

I see our Mary without a doubt did a good impression :)

“She was absolutely delightful, just incredibly down to earth,” associate conductor Ben Northey said from Copenhagen after the concert. She was a joy to have there and she was just a really great presence to have in a room. It was a very special night. She loved the orchestra and was really proud that this Australian orchestra had come so far and was performing in her new home. She was just incredibly proud.”

This news story made our 6pm news last night and then a slightly longer version of the news story in the afternoon news today. Both were very short news items, but at least they mentioned it with photos.
