The Crown Princess Mary was dressed in a dress with large flowers as she Monday 22.08.2005 visited the exhibition To write a love song about the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen's difficulties to learn to write and read at the Thorvaldsen Museum in Copenhagen. The Australian born Mary saw the exhibition to mark the founding of the Hans Christian Andersen ABC Foundation which will combat illiteracy all over the world. The diaries of the writer are at the museum because the famous sculptor helped Hans Christian Andersen during a writing crises in Rom. Fotos: Kim Nielsen c dpa

I agree; she is glowing. Pregnancy really does become her. I think the added weight made her look healthier and rounder. I hope her pregnancy progresses well.

Its doesn’t looks elegant at all for a princess to sit with the skirts “crumple” like thathttp://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=184408, or it might because of her big tummy then difficult for her to make it properly.

According to Svensk Damtiding (a Swedish magazine that isn't too reliable, but still...) her due date is around 25 October.

I thought you were kidding, but you probably weren't.

Anyway, all I can say is that, despite her tummy and the material of her dress (very delicate and floaty so who could blame her if it looked "crumpled" when she sat down), Mary did make an attempt to straighten her skirt. Sometimes with pictures, we don't know really when it was taken: if it was taken before or after a particular act etc.

Here are pics of Mary straightening her skirt: http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...hmentid=184402 http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...hmentid=184413

I especially like how Mary didn't just start doing heaps and heaps of events straight away just to please some people. I think she has done her homework (researching the organisations she is going to support) and now we see the fruits of that. And of course she's undoubtedly doing some more behind the scenes.

Go MARY!!

That chair doesn't look like the easiest to sit down elegantly in, when you are pregnant it must have been especially difficult to make it look elegant, her feet barely touch the ground. I'm 5'2 so my feet would probably have been hanging off the end of the seat.

the problem is that she looked too laid down. the perfect posture to sit in a chair is straight and never "lay down" on it.
however, it may also have been a problem of the chair...

She had to sit back because those things beside her head are speakers. She's reading as well as listening to the "Princess and the Pea". (if you look closely, you can see the speakers) http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...hmentid=184414

I'm sure someone has already talked about that in this thread... or perhaps not?
That sounds like a reasonable explanation, thanks Jasl

From what we can see, Mary seems to be having a great pregnancy. SHe looks radiant, glowing and happy. Long live Mary of Denmark :) I like the way she carries herself, so sophisticated and elegant, at the same time as being down to earth .

The design of the chair is not comfortable for sitting- too deep in, good for the back with the support behind but bad for the neck. I think I will get a stiff neck sitting one of those chairs.

Crown Princess Mary looks great! Radiant and healthy! And I think it's very admirable of her to be the hardest working person in the Danish Royal Family at the moment, despite being so far gone in her pregnancy! It's great to see that she's enjoying her pregnancy and not having many (as least not notable) of those little problems that can make it harder to work. Smashing Mary!

The godparent race is on

August 24, 2005

LOOKING more like a Vogue model than a woman two months shy of giving birth, Princess Mary stepped out to wow adoring locals in Copenhagen this week.
