I think that Princess Alexandra is behind Mary(the Lady in blue outfit?)

Nice eyes!! In did is Princess Alexandra.

Wonerful pics!!

Oh goodness gracious me, what's Mary wearing?! Maybe she's having "baby stress nerves" or something, affecting her mind from thinking clearly on things like clothes.... Oh well, at least it was a nice day and a good visit - and a happy couple. That's the most important thing after all.

I must be the minority here, but I thought the coat was simply fantastic. Maybe it looks a little out of place since it's so close to summer and the colors are better suited for winter. I love that coat!

The coat is not my cup of tea. The blue color patches just look ugly.

Actually I think this was a suit. It's most definitely a two piece outfit. Corbis has the best picture I've found where you can actually tell that there is a skirt (or dress) and then cropped jacket....so this isn't an over coat, it's a "suit"....

from hellomagazine.com

Denmark's Crown Princess Mary could scarcely have received a warmer welcome when she stepped out with her husband on Thursday afternoon. The pretty royal was greeted by a huge crowd of well-wishers as she made her first public appearance since the news of her pregnancy was announced.

Just two weeks ago the couple delighted the people of Denmark by confirming they will have a new prince or princess come October. And the mum-to-be, who was sporting a blue suit with cropped jacket and an elegant purple hat, was congratulated by scores of her subjects when she attended the opening of a new entertainment park in Copenhagen. Indeed the 33-year-old had her work cut out just to hold onto all the bunches of flowers that came her way.

When the baby arrives, he or she will be born into a newly refurbished palace, as Amalienborg has undergone a major renovation. The extent of the makeover was detailed in an annual financial report published by the royal household. Europe's oldest monarchy overran its budget by nearly £2 million last year, mostly due to Frederik and Mary's lavish wedding last May and the cost of preparing their new home. The expense shouldn't prove to be too much of a problem, though, because the family's overall worth is well over £1 billion.

You can see from this picture that it's a crop jacket and dress underneath.
Though she looks stunning and there's the wonderful glow about her, i don't care much for her outfit!

But what's really cute is you can see frm this pic a little bump in her tummy!!!

Definately not my favorite combinations of outfits from Mary. Wonderful pieces seperately, but in this case, I thought that too much of the same pattern clashed a bit. I can't quite picture a glow, because she seems to be carrying one all the time, even prior to falling pregnant, but maybe that's just me!

Yes, they were opening Denmark's first "experience park", where you learn by actions :)

NO, that is not correct. They are not a very rich family. They have some minor property in Denmark and France. Their private econemy is not for public view, but they are not expected to be very rich. The danish media also have come to that conclusion the times they have tried to figure it out.

so where comes those designer's clothes and expensive jewels of Mary from?

i think that is from some allowance they get for clothes...Mary has an allowance so maybe it's paid from that...:)

There sure is several levels between having billions and having nothing:D None of the Scandinavian royal houses has billions. That does not mean that they are poor, they are all well of. In the last annual report from the Danish royal house it says that Frederik and Mary has 4 million dk a year for private use to cover amongst other things clothes, furniture, personal travels (and secretary of non official caracter- Im not quite sure what that means though)

wait maybe they're worth billions...that is including ALL the castles and literally everything they have...

Well the only castles TRF owns is Marselisborg carstel,Schakenborg carstel, the huntingcabin in Trend and ther littel "summercottage" in France.

And the jewellery that Mary wears at the big events are mostly old pieces, inherited through the lines of the Royal Families. Like the ruby parure she have worn which such grace - that originally comes from Queen Desirée of Sweden and then via Queen Ingrid (as Princess of Sweden) to Denmark.

Some smaller "modern" jewellery that she wears in everyday life may come as gifts from Fredrik, or from their appanage.

it's been a question for me for a long time, ifall the royal families recieve allowance then why mary's sister inlaw Alxandra doesnt dress like(in label clothes I mean)or why a crownprincess of a richer country like letizia of spain doesnt dress like that?

is it possible that some of the designers loan or give free their clothes to mary? it's quite common among popstars and celebrities so why not royals too??

May 7, 2005: Prince Frederik accompanied Princess Mary as she baptized her second ship "Gudrun Maersk" in Odense.
