Is the requirement for a Lutheran, or is it just someone who isn't Catholic? If that's the case, it does open up the possibilities for choices outside the box.

And isn't she a bit young for him anyway? She's only 18 and he's 34. That's a 15 year age difference!

I was trying to find a British princess for Georg Friedrich. This would bring the Hohenzollerns back into the real world of reigning monarchy. Beatrix of York seems most suitable but the problem is that she is 12 years younger. Is there anyone else who qualifies? It has to be a geniune blue blood or according to the completely sensible house law he loses his succession rights.

However, I worry that the Windsors would feel inferior in the presence of the intellectual, high minded Hohenzollerns. How is he with horses?

And she has a long standing relationship with a young man who seems to make her very happy.

Oh my god, Beatrix of York may be suitable because of her royal status, but the rest !!! I mean intelligence, beauty, clothing....oh my god, poor Georg. If I'd b a man, I'd never even touch her....sorry, but that's my very personal opinion.

Madeleine would be more appropriate

Georg F is a man who closes all 3 buttons on his jacket; so he is clearly not someone who is preoccupied or weighted down with the troublesome, irrelevant concerns of style or fashion; and presumably clothing flair is a quality that will be absent from his 'must have' list for eligibility.

What about a Windsor who isn't a princess, Lady Gabriella?
I'm fairly sure that the Michaels are a bit more intellectual than the rest.

And for the blue blood conscientious Hohenzollerns she would be a better catch than Princess Beatrice who lacks noble ancestors on both sides of her family!
Anyway, it's just speculation.

Princess Theodora of Greece would be a suitable bride for the Head of the German Imperial House.

rob, perhaps you can have a new job as royal matchmaker as you seem to like to match them together.

You are right about Anhalt girls...in this list there are some Princesses and Countesses that are "products" of non-equal marriages, some of equal and noble marriages such as Princess Donata zur Lippe-Biesterfeld or Princess Theodora Luise zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and some are born into equal marriages as Princess Sophie von Schleswig-Holstein, Princess Olga zu Leiningen or Princess Aeglae von Baden...
