My mistake, you're right; I remember to have read it somewhere, but surely I was remembering wrongly.

I also have been surprised when I read that Patricia was just 16 when she married a man who was 19 years older then her...

Prince Pedro Carlos has had a rough ride - his first wife Rony Kuhn de Souza died just two days after giving birth to their son Prince Pedro Tiago in January 1979.

On Dec. 24th Prince Joaozinho visited a school in a bidonville in Rio de Janeiro:

The Princess talks about what she does daily, about her childhood and her relationship with her grandparents. Does anyone know why did D. Eudes, D. Pedro, D. Fernando, D. Francisco and D. Alberto give up their rights and their descendants rights to the Brazilian throne?

Because they married commoners, and therefore they had to renounce for themselves and their descendants.

Is it true that Prince Pedro Luiz lived comfortably but he didn't have a luxury life?, I am asking because It was written on wikipedia : " he lived comfortably but without luxury. He had no car, he had to travel around Rio de Janeiro by bus and foot"
