RIP to HI & RH Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, murdered this day in 1914,

and to the THIRTY SEVEN MILLION [let that sink in a moment] who were killed in the senseless World War that followed their death, beginning the bloodiest century in world history .

Very interesting to see them all, including the old Emperor, away from horseback and military parades, and his daughter Sophie. Zita, the bride, was so pretty.

The video mistakenly says that the duchess of Hohenberg is standing besides the emperor. But I believe that that is the Archduchess Maria Josepha, mother of the groom.

In this video I was able to learn that the touring car that transported Franz Ferdinand and Duchess Sophie was borrowed. I had thought that it was one of the imperial touring cars made in Austria.
