The kings will arrive on the island on the 17 of july!!! and the princes of Asturias will follow them on the next days!!!

can't wait to see them during those holidays!!!

Since the times Diana and Charles were spending a few days with the SRF no other royals visited. Does anyone besides the GRF join them in Majorca for the summer vacation?

I've seen members of the Norwegian Royal Family visiting during that (forgive my ignorance on the topic of sailing:flowers:) race they always participate in. I think that King Harald is a sailing enthusiest and participates, and I've seen Crown Prince Haakon and his family there to watch.

BeautyLeonor, love your avatar. When was that picture taken?

King of Norway spend some days the last year in Majorca for sailling. Also Princess Alia of Jordan spend her vacations last year in majorca with the rest of the Spanish Royal Family.
Prince Frederik and then Mary Donalsond sailed in the yate Fortuna with the spanish kings, during the summer 2002.

My family and I are travelling to Mallorca on the 19th of July for two weeks staying about 20 minutes from Palma so unfortunately I won't be able to see the pictures until I get home. Looking forward to seeing all the children together

I have been anxious for this holiday time to begin. I have been keeping a close eye out for this thread then today I finally decided to come look up the thread and see what the date was they are supposed to arrive. Now I'm really excited to find out this week all should be arriving in Mallorca.

Have fun crm2317 in Mallorca too. I would think that there would be a little buzz about the royals being in that area. This is always a real treat for the media. So possibly you see or hear of something while you are there.

Thanks Aurora810! I'm Excited to be going to Mallorca and staying near Palma it would be lovely if I did happen to see a member of the family but it is a big enough place so I won't be getting my hopes up:flowers:

While we're all looking forward to the pictures, it would help keep the thread shorter - so we can see the pictures on the first pages when they start to arrive, instead of have them buried deep in the thread - if everybody tried to contain themselves with the picture discussion until there is actual pictures to discuss. :flowers:

The Kings move tomorrow to Palma, as every summer

The Kings will come tomorrow to Palma, where, as every summer, they will establish their residence in Marivent's Palace, as they confirmed to Europa Press in institutional sources of the Island.

As every year, His Majesty will continue in Palma with his activities of office, which he will combine with the practice of nautical sports. Beside receiving in hearing the local authorities, Don Juan Carlos is in the habit of supporting two offices during the summer with the President of the Goverment, the first one of them around the first of August. This year might receive in addition in Mallorca some of the chiefs of State or representatives of Royal Houses who visit the Expo in the next weeks, according to sources of Zarzuela.

It is a problem of the language:lol:. In Spanish the plural ones are in the habit of being done in masculine

King - Rey Queen - Reina King and Queen - Reyes

Thanks for your prompt explanation Lula. Now I know and it seems quite logical. :flowers: I wish the family happy holidays.

Thanks for the pictures everybody - can I believe my eyes, Sofia is wearing plateau peep toes

http://i35.tinypic.com/i39z68.jpg

Already looking forward to her usual ugly summer pyjama wardrobe in the most flashy colours. Unfortunately Sofia's sense of fashion stays in Madrid every year she departs to Majorca for well deserved summer vacations.

The queen always, always, goes elegantly, take what goes because she "is" elegant. It she is all the same what sight, everything sits him well and it,she never loses hisher great class and natural elegance. These accessories, shoes and purse are very chic and beautiful

I think that the Queen looks fabulous --- the cool pantsuit, the beautiful shoes (Take note Letizia), the tiny fun purse hanging in front.
I absolutely love her multiple necklaces - very trendy for Fall 2009.
Maybe Sofia could give just one of her necklaces to Letizia who doesn't seem to own one casual, daytime necklace.
