Princess Letizia do not look for media sensation. She was on a private beach with the Queen. The Queen likes her and that means something. Why do so many people hate her ? I have no idea , she is a perfect mum,a loving wife, knows her duties. Above all she is well educated, polite, modest. Princess Letizia is in the centre of all events because her husband will be the King in the future and what is more, Leonor may be a Queen. People always seek cheap sensation everywhere. It is obvious that people have their rights to dislike Princess Letizia but why the hatred? Spanish people should be proud that their future Queen is from Spain, is very well educated( brave, she was not afraid of going to some dangerous places in the world) and in September 2001 she broadcast live from Ground Zero following the 9/11 attacks in New York( only the best journalist were sent there.) Princess Letizia supports her husband and do not overwhelm his personality like Princess Mary does in case of her husband. In my personal opinion, Princess Letiza is the best future Queen taking into consideration all Princesses in Europe.

I am not going to play a game of words nor do I intend to explain my thoughts; the point here is that the infantas are as relaxed as they can be with their own skin. Letizia is still in training. Whether you like it or not, this is just an opinion...I'm not a royal insider or a journalist and I don't think I need to prove a point. It is just a SIMPLE opinion. Wearing a bikini is a normal thing for SOME people, like the infantas!
 
Sorry to disagree with others but why is it normal for the Infantas to wear a bikini and not Letizia and then on a private beach at that?

I don't understand what training do you mean, Princess Letizia is not Infanta of Spain and never will be, she is The Princess of Asturias. She knows the protocol very well. In my view, Infanta Cristina tries to focus all the attention of the press on her family (during holidays). It prooves that Cristina doesn't know the protocol because she shows faces in front of the cameras.
 
I am going to clarify several things.

To the Infantas until they have not had children it was very difficult to see them in a beach. Probably now for the children is bored to be the whole day in a yacht, and they like to run and to play in the sand. According to the commentaries the press the Infantas were in a beach of difficult access to which the majority of the people comes by ship.

I do not remember the Kings to see them in a beach in Majorca and the Prince either in the last years. It seems that the Princes have gone for the first time this year to a small beach of difficult access near Marivent with Leonor. The King and the Prince live with more important safety measures than the rest of the family, and cannot go to any place.

From the arrival of the Princess and her daughters, the Infantas have been liberated of many of the obligations that before supposed the vacations in Majorca ... for example, already they do not have to go every day to the Cup of the King, go one day, and already they are free, and nobody criticizes them because of it.

On the other hand, in the island and around the Royal Family there is now more pressure of the mass media, especially of the paparazzi of the yellow press, because now the family is interested more for this type of information. While two paprazzi are to a distance of several meters, it does not matter for the Infantas, but when there is great press it is evident that they do not feel comfortable. The first day that went to the Cup of the King, the Infanta Elena got angry because the press was chasing her (it seems that she was going to the bathroom). On the other hand, also there has recovered the photo of family, photo that was not done since Froilán was one year old.

The thread title is Summer Vacations in Palma de Mallorca 2007. I don't recall changing the title to 'Bikinis of the Princesses'.
To make it more clear - posts continuing the discussion of Elena's, Letizia's or Christina's swimsuits will be removed without notification.

In the U.S. it is more common to see baby/toddler girls in a swimsuit with a top. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with a little girl being topless. With my own son and daughter, I have to have them wear a rash guard at the beach/pool to protect their very fair skin from the sun. Sunscreen isn't enough for my daughter. (She's had one bad sunburn this summer...blisters.)

There is no news of the Princes, only there is an information, not if trustworthy, of that they can be present at an act this weekend.

Probably, they have fled a bit of the island or simply they have hidden themselves and been discreet. The certain thing is that already they have given enough photographs this summer, and with the paparazzi every day waiting is normal that they search a bit of tranquility and intimacy.
 
Princesa Letizia is a great asset to Spain. She has not made an slips and is always, like the Queen, impeccable and professional. Her holiday photos show a very well adjusted CP - she doesn't look so stern as when she's attending to her official duties. Perhaps Princess Mathilde is another strong candidate for 'best future Queen in Europe'.

Infanta Leonor is the most beautiful child in Europe! She radiates love, intelligence, innocence yet sharpness - but no wonder the King looks at her sternly in so many holiday photos. Left undisciplined, Leonor's confidence can be a liability. But with parents like Letizia and Felipe, I'm sure discipline will be ample!

I do not believe that a girl of less than two years could be undisciplined, anxious yes, but not undisciplined. Leonor is bold, she likes to investigate and as soon as she knows she is not afraid. She is a very persistent girl, tries something, if she obtains it is happy, but if she neither obtains it she neither cries nor gets angry.

On the other hand, and like it is habitual in many children in her circumstances has could take advantage of the circumstances :lol:. The Queen Sofia is the grandmother and consents everything. The Prince is the father, that works more, travels more, and sees less the girl, and in addition he feels weakness for her. Conclusion, the authority in the girl the mother puts it, and we could have seen it more of once. But now the mother has to deal with the baby, and Leonor is clever to extract advantages of it.
 
Leonor is not even two and I hope she can conceive her naturalness and innocence as long as possible because once she will have understood that she is different and what this circus is all about we might see a different girl.

These days must be very precious for F & L family because it's not the real world. Very soon every day life for Leonor and Sofia will change as their parents are no full time parents but have a very difficult job to do. Both girls will get used to spend time with nannies and teachers as their parents will travel and be away from home a lot, and especially for Leonor there will be a hard education ahead and it's Felipe who must be her strongest supporter as he will exactly know how she will feel about things, having been there before.
 
I'm not a specialist of the two years old 's behaviour of a baby girl, but I have to admit that this little Infanta looks very clever, funny, mischievous and obviously is quiet sure that she is making to laugh quiet all the members of the Spain Royal Family.
Even Jaime of Marichilar who miles very away on the different pics of this summer, is smiling when is seing th little Leonor.
I'm sure that the Princess of Asturias will be very closer of her scolar development, at least for her begining. I read that the Queen is speaking yet in english for some words with Leonor, exactly as she did with her own children. If the little Infanta is very receptive, it's the best way to learn a foreign language and with the Queen Sofia, she has a very good teacher.
 
my God, the womens of this famely have amaizing body's... i just want have the same phisical forme after have my sons.... they are amaizing.

You are right and 'm sure it's not very easy to conceive such an education with the good nannies, professors and so on. But neither Felipe nor Letizia are too stupid to imagine it's a true pleasure for this little baby girls, mainly Leonor, to have this very difficult task to wore.
 
Well. It's not different than us, commoners life. Holidays are always "fantasy days" for all of us. No work, no problems, nice landscapes to see, lots of fun...This is holidays for all people..aren't they? ;) I love holidays!

An interesting article (look for section Dona Letizia) from Elmundo mentioned that the pictures of Letizia in bikini were taken at the beginning of the King's Cup. The paparazzis hided their boat, walked 4 hours until finding a cliff (a lot of hard work :)) and took the pictures with powerful telephoto lens.

Of course the Princes are right but I am surprised that they are surprised that these shots were finally taken. They knew the paparazzi were after them for some years now and will even walk for four hours to get them. It's a fact that privacy is respected less and less these days for financial reasons and they are certainly unable to change the habits. Besides, F&L are not the only people who suffer from the feeling that there is no place except the own house where you are safe from the media. I don't say it's a good thing but this is how it works these days, not only in Spain but in many other countries too.

Yes they look fantastic. We should not forget that Inaki was a professional handballer, that helps a lot ;). Cristina is a very athletic girl and looks fantastic and very healthy with 42 years and after 4 kids.

One thing is for sure, the four kids descent from a very good gene pool and I am very optimistic that the three boys will have a similar physical appearance as daddy, meaning they will become some kind of hunks :) and little Irene a stunning athletic and good looking young lady - her future hubby will have a hard time with three big and strong older brothers protecting the girl from all evil :lol:
 
Donna and Duke, I already have heard and read multiple versions of how the photos were done. And I believe that the own photographers have said that it was done from another ship. So I think that this article has imagination great. The press needs a topic that to speak and this one gives a lot of money and advertising, so you count 100 versions different from the same history.

Neither I believe that this journalist this one informed of if the Princess has liked it or not the photo. I believe that the photo does not matter for her , bacause if was that she would not dress bikini. They know that though with difficulty there is a possibility that there some photo is obtained. Another thing, it is that neither she nor to nobody in the Royal House, likes this business that is create concerning them, for the press it is an opportunity to create absurd polemics, from wrong information and lies. Since for example saying that one was not photographing the Queen in swimsuit for 30 years or that the Infantas have gone for the first time this year to the beach where they did these photos to them ... when anyone in this forum can see the photos of last summers.
