I don't think reporters and papararrazi fall into the same category.

I agree -- Letizia the journalist is definitely not the same as the paparazzi. Letizia had legitimate access to people and places when she interviewed them. She did not follow them around everywhere and at no point was she ever shoving a camera in their faces while they were having a private dinner with friends. To compare Letizia the journalist to the sleezy paparazzis who chase public figures (like they did Diana) is an insult to Letizia and the profession of journalism.

actually that uniform thing was commented by many journalists and close ones, the part that was a rumour was the one about the sunglasses and the queen.

It seems that the Princes go away to Asturias this week. I imagine that the journalists will return to the discussion of last year. It seems to my me to be normal that the Prince is not going to sail the whole week while his wife remains in house, already he has gone to two ditches this year. And how the son also is his he does well in happening the time with his wife. Though I imagine that the fact that he does not go to the Glass of the King it will be a nuisance very much, especially to the journalists.
Besides in Asturias they are calmer. Seeing the photos and the images of tv one realizes that they are very oppressed.
Last year also they were very chased(, but this year the things are different. Letizia is pregnancy and has to look after more. In a Monday article they were saying that the Prince had bothered a bit another day, and one sees in the photos. They were nice with the photographers, but the photographers always want to go farther. And sometimes they can put in danger their safety, and it cannot be. Letiza's image with the bodyguard so given to her, when the Prince is going to gather his prize is not very normal. It they neither are vacations nor are at all.
I imagine that calmer quite this when, they will return to Palm.

In the photos Carlota does not appear anybody. Normally the Royal Family approaches in the Fortuna Cabrera, which is a natural reserve and where almost nobody can accede, there they bath in the sea and others, it is a more intimate place. For motives obvious to go to a normal beach would be an authentic chaos ... for what one sees in the images the babysitters would bring the children over to some beach near to the palace in order that they were bathing and playing a bit. The children without their parents me imagine that they pass very unnoticed and there is no problem.

As for Letizia, it is totally logical that she wants to be with her grandmother and in her house (already I it have said several times, not only her grandmother lives there, has more family, she lived there everything through her infancy,she has friends ...). In a place where the climate is fresher and they have major intimacy.
Last summer they were there not even one week and criticized them for it, and this year will pass the same thing. And I do not understand it, it is the most normal of the world that also they reserve a few days in order that she enjoys her family and more this year after the death of her grandfather and with the pregnancy her. Some journalist will not be late large mouths in saying that Letizia gives the orders on the Prince and other bilges.

Yes, but always there are people who for criticizing any thing that Letizia does, criticizes her until she wants to pass time with her family. Not because so normal things are extracted of hinge. Because of it also their trips of weekend to Asturias have been criticized. Some that wicked other one was saying that she loved more a few grandparents that different, when the parents of Paloma spent great winter part in Madrid and there she could see them often. Whereas her another grandfather was in Asturias dying and probably she could not go everything what wanted, and some journalists who knew it continued criticizing her for these trips.

Indeed it seems very natural that they go and spend some holiday time with her family as well, considering that in everyday life the Prince and Princess have very busy lives representing the country and meet the rest of the Royal Family naturally in their work. It's natural that Letizia would spend part of her summer now in Asturias. She spent all of her summers there growing up. She's Asturian and will always be. These Penafiel-like journalists are too immature. Do they expect her to stop spending her summers there now that she's a princess and should only spend it in Mallorca? Some people really......

Little Carla is so cute with that curly hair. It's so nice that Auntie Letizia brought her to Mallorca to enjoy the beach along with the Urdangarins. She seems to really adore her. Tiny bath
Two of the children of the dukes of Palm amuse themselves in the beach and yesterday they represented acumpleños of Mafalda, daughter of Rosario Nadal In one day in which practically it seems that nothing happens, suddenly it happens. I say it for the day before yesterday, silly day as for news of the Royal House. The King passed the morning giving hearings in l'Almudaina, while, when everything seemed to be to point in order that the Fortuna was done to the sea, the royal yacht remained in port and us composed and without photographies.
Neither as for Porreres, were innovations. The Princes of Preslav did not go to the Tuesday street market, but they continued preparing the house to enjoy of the summer or because ... do they wait for someone? Because, tiny tute they are given from Monday!

Infantile protagonists

Well, so when to point we were to declare the catastrophic day, - journalistically speaking, clearly-, since it seemed that it was not going to happen at all in what was remaining in the evening, it happened: two of four children of the dukes of Palm, Paul Nicolás and Michael, the second one and the third one, and, there seemed us to be to, the daughter of Erika, sister of the princess of Asturias, accompanied of their nurses - two you relate apparently, that not only they dress equally but also they put on an equal swimsuit - and four escorts, they went away to the beach, to bathing between the people. Y. .. helos there! Nice images, already be those of the water, bathing, as those of the sand, drying off and playing; already be those of garments. None of the three, certainly, always monitored over the babysitters, they are afraid to the sea. Everything opposite. The major one at all as a fish and other two they they do not go to the rear.
And yesterday, when also it seemed that it was not going to happen at all, between other things because the Kings moved to The Azores invited by the president of Portuguese Government, to midday the lads of the dukes of Palm, on board of a monovolume in which also the nurses were travelling, escorted by another car, they moved to house of Rosario and Kiryl, in Porreres, to celebrate the birthday of the first-born one, Mafalda, and in the evening, there added to the party the princes of Asturias, don Philip and dona Letizia - who prompt will celebrate those of their descent-, those who apparently will leave the island next Friday. So at all, Mafalda, a lot of years!

Don Felipe gives up taking part in the ditch to remain more time together with dona Letizia, with whom he will travel to Asturias the second week of August

The Prince leaves the candle for love

Nothing is forever and probably when they change the circumstances the Prince will return to the nautical competition. His dedication to the ditches was not a way of amusing himself in summer (it is not necessary to forget that don Felipe formed a part of the team of candle in the Games of Barcelona ' 92), but this year, paraphrasing Jordi Pujol, he does not touch candle. The prince of Asturias will not take part in the close edition of the Glass of the King - trophy Agua Brava like he comes doing for twenty years, with the scanty exceptions of his displacements to the captures of possession in Latin America. The reason is in his desire to spend his period of vacations together with the princess Letizia, on the verge of expiring her sixth month of pregnancy. The Prince moves back for love. The candle demands dedication and time, not only the one that passes in the sea, but also the one that one is late in recovering after the nautical beating and the one that becomes exhausted in the dinners and exits with the companions of crew. It does not seem that the Princes are going to change Majorca into Asturias, though the couple will travel to the principality in some summer moment, but only for a few days habida counts of that their stay in the house that Menchu Álvarez del Valle, grandmother of dona Letizia, possesses in Sardeu's council supposes a safety unfolding that can manage to alter the life of the calm Asturian enclave. The Urdangarín-Borbón pass more time in Palm. But in a magazine a few photos appear of them in the Basque Country with Iñaki's family. If they do not pass more time with them is for a safety problem, their trips to the Basque Country have to be limited and because of it they must be the parents of him those who travel to Barcelona where they have more children.

The single Prince also was escaping of Majorca a few days, and nothing was passing.
Now they take it as a great tragedy. To that they do not make sense?

The Royal Family spends a sea day on board of the yacht 'Fortune'

With the exception of the King, which he remained the whole morning and until two o'clock in the afternoon being employed at his office, the Royal Family took advantage of the yesterday day to go out to navigate on board of the yacht Fortune. Little before twelve o'clock they approached up to the facilities of Portopí's naval military base, habitual tie of the royal yacht, the infanta Cristina and her three major children, Juan Valentín, Pablo and Miguel, whom it was possible to see playing in the bridge of control of the craft before this one was giving up straps. In another car, dona Sofía made it small later. And more discreetly, removed from the lenses of the photographers, also there rose on board the prince Felipe and dona Letizia, who did not want to get lost the sea day in spite of being embarrassed of five months.

I think the term major child and minor is from a direct translation "mayor" in Spanish translated means older or oldest. "Menor" should translated to younger or youngest.

Like every year, the sea and the regattas have reunited the Royal Family in Mallorca. This summer the Princess, who is very handsome in her fifth month of pregnancy, was expected with much anxiety and she monopolized all the glances, while watching the victory of her husband.

The Princes of Asturias landed together in Mallorca a day after they went to the funeral by the victims of the fire of Guadalajara. There they met the Kings and the Dukes of Palma. Don Felipe had arrived previously, the previous Thursday, to compete in the regattas, but he immediately went back to attend the funerals in Guadalajara. On the following day Letizia arrived, raising a great expectancy. The princess, who is in her fifth month of pregnancy, wanted to remain on the background, but she could not avoid to be the centre of all the glances and the anxious photos, portraying her fifth month of pregnancy.


The Kings (along with the sister of Doña Sofia, princess Irene of Greece) had "officially" inaugurated the Mallorcan summer on July 20th. After their arrival, they were received by the authorities of the island: Jaume Matas, president of the Balearic government, and Catalina Cirer, the mayor of Palma, among other personalities. In his appearance before the press, Don Juan Carlos assured that they were missing these vacations, and already commented that the pregnancy of Letizia runs well. TM will remain in the island, at their usual residence, the Palace of Marivent, until September, in spite of some official trips that will take place in the meanwhile. Besides, the King will receive, next August 1st, the president of the Government, Jose Luis Zapatero.

The eleventh edition of the Breitling-Illes Balears regattas inaugurated the season of candle in Mallorca. The King, prince Felipe and the Duke of Palma competed this year. While they competed in the Bay of Palma, the Infanta, next to her children, and the Queen followed the competition on board of the yacht Fortuna, property of the Royal Family. They sailed until La Cabrera, an island to which it is only possible to accede with a special permission. But the most expected was Letizia, who was not seen until Saturday night. This is the second summer she spends in the island, although this one is the most special, without any doubt. Her first public appearance was the supper offered by the directors of the regattas to participants and sponsors. The scene was the military castle of San Carlos, in Palma. Also the Kings and the Dukes of Palma attended the party, although Iñaki arrived first and the Infanta only later.

In the warm afternoon of Sunday, Letizia caused a great commotion in Puerto Portals, as she arrived for the prize-giving ceremony. The Prince won the competition on class IMS, and received the gold and silver cup, from the hands of his father, Don Juan Carlos. He was the sixth, but in another class, TP 52, in which the prince had another boat, the "Aifós". After receiving the congratulation from the King, Don Felipe showed his trophy to his mother and wife. Letizia and Doña Sofía were together all day long and smilingly strolled by the sea. The King also awarded his son-in-law Iñaki Urdangarín, who finished the competition on the second position of the class IMS.

The Duke of Palma had had very special spectators, as his wife, children and mother-in-law followed him close by, on board of the boat "Azur". Except for little Irene, the three children of the Duke of Palma did not stop to encourage their father. After the race, the eldest one, Juan, ran towards his daddy, who affectionately took him in his arms. The most outstanding absence was the one of the Dukes of Lugo and their children, Froilán and Victoria. However Harald of Norway, that could not compete for his delicate state of health, also followed thecompetions.
