I'm looking forward to see Letizia wearing a Tiara again! It has been a long Tiara-less time.... ;)

You can say that again! I can hardly wait for a gala dress and tiara!

What time are they supposed to have the event?

I think 8:30 Spanish hour!

I have seen the images in television. The Queen Sofia repeats the white Valentino that dressed in one of the last gala. The Princess, I believe that she repeats red top but with a new skirt. The Queen takes the tiara of the flowers and the Princess the one that she took in her wedding.

Thanks lula for the description. I can still hardly wait until pics come. They should be available soon, I would think.

Do you know if there a kind of scale to determine the use of the tiara?

I'm trying to explain me, the Queen can be wear at least six tiaras, two are absolutly regal, the fleur de lys one and these who seems to belong to the Infanta Pilar but that a while the Queen had wore at least twice the last year. Then the Queen can wear tiaras a little less imposing the Cartier Tiara - belonging to the Queen Ena - or the shell tiara - that I'm very found of- And then the two last one wore very often the flowers one - so refined- and the wedding one.

The infantas, for instance, wear only the two last one. It's better to say the Infanta Christina because the Infanta Elena is wearing a family tiara.

Do you think that it's possible that for such or such state viste the choice of the tiara is doing regarding the importance of thr country which is invited?

My question is for all the specialists !:flowers::flowers:

The Infanta Elena and the Infanta Cristina use always the same tiaras. The Princess of Asturias alternates between two, which she used in her wedding and that of the flowers. The Queen is the one that more changes of tiara, I believe that she does it depending on the visit, the most important she takes them when the visit is of a Royal Family or of a very important State or with many links with Spain.

As far as i know the Fleur de Lys is worn only on State Visits from reigning Monarchs. I think the same can be said about the big Cartier Diamond and Pearl Tiara as she has worn it only 2 times since the death of the Countess of Barcelona, to whom the tiara belonged before. Last year in Norway and at the State Visit from the King of Saudi Arabia.

Thanks to everybody for they answers about the tiaras. In fact, whithout to know it exactly, I thaughts quiet the same.

Thanks again!

Finally pictures, thanks lula:flowers:
Queen Sofia looks lovely, i always loved that Valentino outfit but what can I say about Letizia,Dont like the bottom part of the dress & the top part is lovely but weve seen it a few time:neutral: but cant do anything now can we:D

2nd picture is lovely, just the was Felipe & Letizia looking at each other:wub:

I don't understand why EFE is doing so bad pics! Bad for the color, bad for the details, bad for the angle of vew! Are you sure that the photographs of EFE know how to use a camera?????

This style of dress seems to be a favorite of Letizia's. I'm not really sure if I like it or not. It's not screaming fantastic at me. But it's not bad either. I need to wait for more pics and I would like to be able to see the skirt in better detail. As for the other 2 ladies, I think the Queen always looks nice and so does the wife of the Slovakia's president. I really like the orange-ish color of her dress.

Isn't a problem from EFE pics is a problem from terra's web, they have bad quality pics without water marks :ermm:, when ABC's web publicy the same pics they have very good quality.

Are we sure we have seen the top part before? It looks different to me! But then again, I am no expert. Also do they really do that, take the top part of one dress and put it with another dress. I mean these are gala dresses not a blouse and skirt pairing. A little confusing to me! Anyways, it looks different to me.

After seeing more pics, I like it. It suits Letizia very well. Even though I think she tends to go for this style quite a bit I suppose I can understand why. Many other dress styles might make her look super super skinny. This dress adds some fullness in the right areas.

They all look lovely, Letizia is beautiful, but far too thin for that style. It is not becoming to her.

Sofia´s outfit is just so elegant, I like the top, I didn´t knew that is was a Velentino dress, I can understan know because is simply wonderful.
Good choice!

And Letizia, I´m sorrry but I dont like the dress.

This is such a lovely photo of Letizia, i wish we could get a unwatermarked version of this:wub: I also think her make-up is very well done tonight

Though I can appreciate the photo. It does show a very pretty Letizia. But that photo in and of itself struck me as a bit odd. She has her elbow on the table and she is not looking to entertained by everything. Possibly she is in a deep conversation with someone. I have just always been taught to keep my elbows off the table. And I don't even attend this nice of an event. So I would think a princess would have been taught something similar at a state visit especially.

It's so glad thePrincess of Asturias is wearing jewelesd of wich I'm very found of: the rubis and diamond earrings. I don't know the necklace in rubis and diamond too, very pretty good. I like very much the way to use jewelry by Letizia, in fact the way to wear a little more jeweles than at the begining.

For her gown, as usual since she is married very classical and tasty but not so spetacular than those she wore for the wedding of the Crown Prince of Denmark.

Interesting! I think the opposite. I think the skirt part adds some fullness that Letizia does not naturally have. If I think back to her dress choices with the exception of one or two most have had some fullness somewhere to help her out.

Letizia looks good! I like so much her top, but i'm not sure about the skirt, I like Sofia's outfit, is so elegant..

The red top is exactly the same used twice wore with two different dresses in 2004. As usually the Princes of Asturias's make up estupendous, even if for this gala dinner Letizia seems a little bit tired!

It seems Letizia has a new necklace. I like it, but I don't like how she wears those bracelets for a gala dinner.

About the dress... well it is Letizia after all!

I do like her make-up.

well all three ladies look lovely IMHO, but what impressed me most is the necklace of Letizia, is it new? I don´t think I ever saw it before. The earrings are the same as she wore in Copenhagen, from the late Queen Ena?
