Kings offer a dinner to Chinese president in Zarzuela
The Kings have tonight offered a supper, celebrated in their residence of the Zarzuela, to the president of China, Hu Jintao, that, accompanied by his wife, will tomorrow morning initiate a visit from State to Spain. Hu Jintao, that arrived today at Madrid, travels to Spain in an European tour that has also taken to the United Kingdom and Germany. Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía offered this supper, of character deprived, to Chinese Head of State and his wife before receiving to them of official form in the Palace ofEl Pardo tomorrow.

The Queen will accompany to the wife by the Chinese president in a visit the seat by the National Ballet by Spain. The first day of official stay of Hu Jintao in our country will be closed tomorrow with a dinner-gala that to them the Kings in the Real Palace will offer.

i don't understand... the official visit only begin today? so, the dinner hosted by king & queen yesterday is what kind of dinner? a private one?
so, there'll be a gala banquet tonight like most of other state visits?

Yes, it was a private dinner the one hosted yesterday at La Zarzuela.
And today there will be a gala dinner as well.

According to the Royal House's website, today's dinner at the Royal Palace will be attended by TM King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, Prince Felipe, Infantas Elena and Cristina, Don Jaime de Marichalar and Don Iñaki Urdangarin.
