Or maybe he try to get quick flamenco lesson?

Sorry, it's the same outfit but this time Leizia wear on different way the top.

It's the 3rd time she wore this gown. The neckline of the top had been altered since the 2nd time. Too bad, the old neckline looked so much better with or without a necklace. I rather like Letizia's hair, simple and elegant.

:nonono: indeed, princess maxima. i agree completely.

does anyone know if the sashes the queen and letizia are wearing are an argentinian order? why is felipe wearing a different one?

Yes. It looks like the Order of the Liberator San Martin. Felipe's looks like the Order of May.

I remember that there was some talk after she wore the gown for the first time back in Feb 2005 for the Russian visit about the way she wore the Spanish order under the neckline - then it was altered for the next time she wore it for the Romanian visit in Nov 2007. It is nice to see the gown again and saying that there are 2 more state visits to come and im sure we will maybe see a new gown (possibly the French - after all she is up against the elegance of Carla Bruni) at one of these.

I like her hair tonight as well - her makeup is very natural andi think hse could do with just a tiny bit more colour

(Sorry Mods for commenting on fashion in this thread but Letizia's evening wear thread is closed)

BRINDIS CON SABOR ARGENTINO EN EL HONOR DE CRISTINA FERNÁNDEZ DE KIRCHNER

the king is getting fragile i have to say.

letizia looks much better than around lunchtime, what difference a hairdresser & some make up make! she still looks sad but erika's fate will always be present, especially around the anniversary of her death.

the gown / combination is a decent outfit for a state dinner. as donnaK said earlier, the dress is repeated, the skirt for the 3rd time and it's subject to discussion whether the top is repeated only for the second time (there are those who believe that the first time is a completely different top, not only an altered neckline):

surprised to see that hardly anyone curtsies.

we are still waiting for the blue prince-charles-gown. with letizia's recycling habits it will pop up sooner or later.

Does anybody know why the presidents husband, former president Kirchner of Argentina, didn't escort her? I know he has very little patience for empty ceremonies as are involved with official visits, but well...

I am sure some feminists (and perhaps not only feminists) will be outraged by our comments on the president of Argentina, a male politician is never judged by his looks but it seems to be the only thing we focus on with president Fernandez de Kirchner. And although people are free to express their opinions about looks it might be better not to use so much degrading language.

And she was late 40 minutes

yes, that's a usual of her. she got late to the highly prestigious G20 meeting in washington last year and made everyone pose again for the picture so that she could be in... :nonono:

EDIT: in fact, i just found this article titled "tradition K: the president got to the palace late"
http://www.perfil.com/contenidos/2009/02/09/noticia_0032.html

Absolute plebs Victoria, look at her!A shame.
And that woman represents a country?
She looks like the madam of a brothel instead of the President of Argentina.
very nicely put. i agree 100%.

besides, what's with all this gesticulation? can't she try and put a normal face when toasting?

I find the comments on the President of Argentina's appearance insulting and derogatory.

:bang::bang:No!!!!!...She was late, she wore a horrible gala dress, she was always doing faces in all picssss......It was obviously, she wanted to get the attention!...As usual!...:whistling:
What´s more, I do like the face of Letizia, when she is with the Queen and Cristina...she couldn´t tolerate her...jajaja!!!

Maybe if she would wore different top? hmmm It's hard to see the golden collar.
Comparing I must say that no matter of present gala dress she looks better than on previous visits.

Btw. if she identified herself "with the Evita of the hair in a bun and the clenched fist before a microphone" so maybe she should take some of Evita's gala fashion sense too. http://www.solesdigital.com.ar/archivo/imagenes%20archivo/Eva_Peron_02.jpg

I love no matter of recycle Letizia's gown.
Sofia was little to black as for me but elegant as always.

On what time will be todays receipt on El Pardo Palace?

To me, all ladies were great last night, however Letizia is, by far, the best.:flowers:
Her gown, her hair, her make-up, her face expression...all very beautiful.
She looked especially pretty and happy.

Now I think they are different tops. It's not possible to alter an off-shoulder top to a normal V-neck, the colors look different too. Perhaps she got another top to go with the sash comfortably. I'm glad she didn't have the original top altered since I really like the original one. If she keeps herself in good shape like her mom-in-law, she can wear this gown for the next 40 years :).

we are still waiting for the blue prince-charles-gown. with letizia's recycling habits it will pop up sooner or later.

The one-shoulder gown probably looks odd with the sash. One-shoulder style is very in right now, hopefully she gets the chance to wear it soon. However I will not place my hope too high since it was from Varela.
