Valencia, SPAIN: Spain's Queen Sofia (R) greets Pope Benedict XVI on his arrival for a huge outdoor mass during his visit to Valencia, 09 July 2006. Organisers said they expected more than a million people to attend the open-air mass, the culmination of a two-day visit designed to galvanize Church opposition to what Benedict called the "rapid secularisation" of the former bastion of Catholicism

Yes, you are totaly right, we can saw also Pablo who did it with a lot of serious an application. For my part, i find this respect of the rules very important. Just a detail Lula yesterday had given the link of Antenna 3 to see this video, it's too bad that you have to mention the cotilleando forum....but doesn't matter !!!

As today it's an official ceremony Queen Sofia is wearing white dress as a Catholic Regnant Queen , isen't it ? It's more a supposition than an affirmation but I'm quiet sur it's the reality.

Yes! She could also use the mantilla. But usually Catholic Queens just use it in Vaticano. At least i think Queen Sofia just use it in Vaticano.
Last year, she was "criticized" because she didn't wear it. :)

This picture brought tears to my eyes... Oh my God he is doing it so well, and by Pope gesture one can sense how touched he was to see this little man with his lesson studied...

The flower detail on Miguel is funny too, thank you for sharing.

Regards,
mtbcm :)

P.S. - it would be nice to see more close-ups but I think in the all this is a event to remember through the years.

I think the two Marichalar kids have soooo much charisma. I just adore seeing photos of them. Change her clothing, and Victoria looks like she belongs in a Velazquez painting.

The little Victoria looks like a very funny little girl. For those who hd seen the video of Antenna 3, there was an instant at the issue of the presentation to the Pope where she had doing some little steps of dance and runing towrds her mother ( I beleive ) it's was so charming. With the Little Miguel she is the most spontaneous ( today ) of the grand sons of the Kings. I said that because because obviously Froilan the terrific is becoming as good as gold ( what happens ? I hope that he don't have a miltary teacher .....he is so young )

Infanta Christina & Inaki Urdangarin must be proud of their beautiful children.

Thanks for all the pics, the children definitely stole the show today!:)
The older ones greeting the Pope with the elegance of a pro, the other giving him presents and the little girls were absolutely adorable; Leonor and Irene could easily past as sisters, they look a lot like each other not only for the blonde/blue eyed thing but also their facial features are pretty similar, all the Kings' grandchildren are gorgeous and well behaved, it seems like they are being raised as good as their parents were:)
