we were in Madrid on monday and I could see princess Letizia "in person" and by coincidence also infanta Elena. They both looked like ladies and very warm persons to me. Unfortunately we were not allowed to get to close to take pictures, but I would like to share mine with you.
It was interesting to see the preparations before Letizia arrived - we were close to this place to have breakfast and see all the police, the men with dogs searching everything. Lula kindly told me that she will be there in the morning - but I didn´t realize until my stay in Madrid that that means about 11 a.m. to 2 p.m (smile) - so Letizia arrived at 12. (In the meantime we wanted to visit the Royal palace but it was closed that day and we walked the back the Plaza Mayor to see Letizia).
There wasn´t a crowd or so (except the press) and people seemed to take pictures, say ohh its the princess and then go on. Her clothes weren´t mentioned at all. We then went on to Plaza del Sol and there was another stand of the red corss with Elena.
