Don Juan Carlos: an hyperactive king

Two weeks ago, King Juan Carlos went to Barcelona to have his periodic medical examinations, which included all type of controls, made by two prestigious Catalan clinics. And the results were "totally satisfactory", as it was announced by doctor Avelino Barrós (Casa del Rey's head of medical care services).

The good medical results have been confirmed by an intense agenda performed by the King, during the last couple of weeks. During the recent visit to the Bayer laboratories in Asturias, the pulse of the King was taken once again and it was confirmed once again that he is in a great health condition.

The Queen will deliver next Thursday, the 25th of May, the Flag of Combat by force of Maritime Action, in an act that will be celebrated in the port of Cartagena (Murcia), according to sources of the Department of Defense.
The previous occasion in which Dona Sofía delivered shows her native was in Alicante supervised by special operations in the billeting ' Alferez Rojas Navarrete ', in April, 2004.

The King speaks on situation immigration with Canary president

The King was interested last night for the situation that lives Through Canaries immediately after the strong increase of the immigrants' abundance to the islands, in a telephonic conversation that he supported with the president Adam Martin, they indicated to Efe sources of the autonomic presidency.

Don Juan Carlos expressed, according to the same sources, his worry for the worsening of the unmigratory crisis in Canaries, to which islands more than thousand undocumented immigrants have come during the last days on board of fishing-boats.

A speaker of Zarzuela said to Efe that the King supports contacts with autonomic presidents and other political persons in charge, so much with habitual character, as when some special circumstance like that they advise it and that the situation that one lives in Canaries these days is one of them.
The sources of the presidency of the Canary Government indicated that the King showed to Adam Martin the worry, solidarity and the support of the Royal Family to the canaries before the massive arrival of small boats with undocumented immigrants.
