im looking for the family of francisco de mendoza and wife catherine cataline rodriquez,both of canary islands born abt 1718-1720,the mendoza family ive been told is of noble family,i dont know where francisco de mendoza family came from ,i was told spain,so said the family derived from a family that came to tenerife in the 15th century.they had a son juan de mendoza that sailed on the frigate from santa cruz tenerife to new orleans louisiana february 17,1779,with his wife francisca rafaela and two daughters antonia and maria del carmen,they settled in assumption parish,louisiana,if anyone has anything on the mendoza that went to the canary islands and were they came from i would thanks for the help
