she born in Venezuela I belived but she moved from there when she was 7 or 8 may be? thank you for your asnwer
 
The bride looks beautiful. The dress of Pavlos and Marie-Chantals oldest daughter was way to short - it looked really tacky! As did the bridemaids dresses and the way they seemed to act was not exactly dignified...
 
I love this wedding dress and the couple are just radiant. I totally love Infanta Cristina's dress. It's beautiful and suits her very well. Also her hair is down which I think looks very nice too. Overall, I like the look of this wedding and wish the couple all the best in the future.:flowers:
 
I agree with you, on top of that the older daugther had not only a short dress, the sandlas , i do not thinkwere apropiet either!
 
Thanks for the photo of Princess Irene!!, I saw she on video but I needed a picture of her.
Princess Irene was the godmother of baptize of Prince Nikolaos. She's not a pretty woman, but has a great inner beauty, she is a great person.
I have seen that in ceremony in Monastery only was 30 person, because the monastery has small space. I think that we haven´t seen to all the reals guests.
 
What a beautiful wedding! What a gorgeous couple. Elegant princesses and queens, handsome princes and kings. The small bridesmaids/grooms were lovely and appropriate. Those other horrible girls acting like vamps, thought they were in an American wedding. IMO I find it awful to have grown up bridesmaids. Should be only children.

Not all American bridesmaids act like vamps! And we think having your sister(s) and friend(s) standing up with you on your day a very special and honorable tradition. Children are used for flower girls and ring bearers! And there are some Americans who do not understand why other countries don't have grown up bridesmaids, but we certainly do not think it is awful!

Are we even sure they were offical bridesmaids? I was not able to listen to live coverage, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit if these girls had organized themselves to get attention. Only the little boys & girls seemed to be a wedding party -- there weren't any grown-up groomsmen, were there? If only we had pictures from inside the church! :)
 
Nice dress, but not as I expected it... And the make up, although it was warm-toned, somehow made her look older than she is. I thought it would be a more sleek look (frosty make up, more satin on the gown or something). Anyway, just a wrong assumption! :flowers:

Generally the bridesmaid's dress, shoes, hair, and makeup are chosen by the bride and I can never understand why brides will spend thousands and thousands of dollars to look beautiful and elegant on their wedding day and then have their attendants look not so great. In the U.S. I think most women who are asked to be in the bridal party grit their teeth and smile and just try to have fun because they know from the moment they are asked that one of the main topics of converation after the wedding is going to be "Did you see those bridesmaids dresses?"

Alexia's dress is better (and it wasn't bad before) up close. Theodora's dress is indeed a light pink. Madeline's dress looks worst. I don't like the color.
 
No Grimaldis at all... I expected Caro at at least.
 
So Haakon left alone Mette-Marit just on the 9th anniversary of their marriage ?! Such a pity she wasn't there !
For the dress, very beautiful but this type has been seen so often now I was expecting something new !
 
Where was the wedding reception held? Hope we can get some photos from the reception only because I'm greedy for more.

I have looked high and low andI cannot find one- Princess Irene has aged considerably since we last saw her .Irene has no vanity whatsoever..... I think she is the only royal that has this quality about her. I think she bore the brunt of the family's woes when they came upon them and so she is selfless ; spiritual and the family is blessed to have her .For me it is her presence that has made that a very special day indeed.
Does anybody know who the godfathers were? Who did the exchanging of the crowns on the couples head?
 
Now that I have had a chance to see a closeup of Elena's dress, it's really not that bad. Kinda cute as a matter of fact. Colorful and fun. I do feel for her. Constantly being compared to her much prettier sister and sister-in-law, she really can't catch a break. She gets overlooked in comparison to the other ladies. She appears to have such a sweet disposition that it seems almost cruel to criticize her fashion choices because they don't measure up to the others. I'm sure she dresses to please herself and tries to ignore those that think less that complimentary thoughts about her.

Not that I'm criticizing anyone here. There's no finger pointing. This is a forum for people to freely air their personal views, and yes she does tend to wear some very uncomplimentary outfits. I have not been too impressed with much of her clothing choices myself, but I just feel sympathy for her considering who she ends up being compared to so often.
 
The thing about Infanta Elena is that she does appear to be a sweet woman. I don't know her personally but I haven't heard anything bad about her. She fell in love, married, it didn't work out and she divorced.

Like you said she is compared a lot to her sister and sister in law in regards to looks and fashion. The thing that is so frustrating to me about Elena is she has a beautiful shape! I don't expect her to dress inappropriate for her age but some of the things that she wears just don't flatter her. I agree the dress looks a little better close up but LadyK summed it up best earlier....Last night she looked great and then we come to this.
 
I see that Victoria de Borbon-Dos Sicilias and Markos Nomikos were there. He has become quite heavy.

i understand she is terrified of flying.

i like that most of the ladies have chosen to wear either greek-themed or greek-island-colours. Letizia, Theodora, Madeleine, Pcs Michael and Q AnnMarie looked lovely. The less said about the Spanish Infantas' outfits, the better.
And the bride looked lovely too.
The dress on Marie'Chantal's daughter could have been a bit longer. She's a bit old for such a 'little girl' outfit. THe smaller bridesmaids with the kneelength dresses looked lovely.
 
I don't think that we need to feel sorry for her. In spite of her face, she has a pose that Letizia and Cristina can only dream. Her posture is very good.
Anyway, her latest outfits are terrible.

My favourite dresses are those of Maxima and Rosario Nadal.
I also expected much more of the bride, Tatiana is so stylish.
 
Bride looks very classy IMO

Just curious. Why was the wedding held on a Wednesday?
