HRH Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Tatiana Blatnik: August 25, 2010

I actually liked the wedding dress, simple and romantic and I loved how her earrings matched her tiara so well!

In my opinion the best dress ladies of the night were Princess Letizia, with that Greek and Mediterranean style and Princess Marie, lovely in cream. Marie always has good choices, classic but lovely either way.

Infanta Cristina, the worse, definitely, she looked horrible, even more fat than she really is....

About the bride...she looks beautiful, but I must say that I expected more from her, specially since yesterday night when she wore that gorgeous blue dress.

Best dressed I would say are Letizia, Maxima and Marie.

Best Newcomer: Theodora who looked lovely!

Worst dressed Cristina, Elena and Marie Chantal and those bridesmaids! I feel like they were the ladies on that show with Howie Mandel. You know the girls who stand on the stage next to the suitcases and you have to guess which one holds the million dollars?

Not worst but I expected better: Mary

I also expected more from the bride ... but, as I said in a previous post, that girl could look good in a burlap sack! She is gorgeous!

I knew the Kents would go because they are very close to the Greek Royals on a personal level, they are not just there as Royal representatives. Constantine is one of Gabriella's godparents and they have attended most big events held by Constantine's family and vice versa. The only other member of the BRF who is close to the Greeks in this way is Prince Charles.

Apparently nobody agrees with me about this, but I actually really like the bridesmaids' dresses. A little too "sparkly" for me to use them in my own wedding, but I do think they're pretty.

Tatiana is sort of blah - hair's okay, dress is okay, veil is okay, but I don't think any of it's particularly special. IMO the best are Letizia, Alexia (plus her kids look adorable), Madeleine, and Sofia (VAST improvement over last night!). I like the flowing fabric and the floral pattern of Anne-Marie's, but it's a little too shapeless. But she does look very pretty and happy (and far younger than 64!).

Does anyone know why not everyone (for instance, Margrethe and Irene) attended last night?

So at the event participated members of the:

- Imperial House of Iran
- Royal House of Greece
- Royal House of Dennmark
- Royal House of Spain
- Royal House of Norway
- Royal House of Sweden
- Royal House of Great Britain
- Royal House of Holland
- Royal House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies
- Royal House of Serbia

Any other Imperial/Royal Houses?

Who represented the House of Serbia?

And Maura724...the sparkly things did it for me. They looked like backup singers. The dress in itself was nice...a nice shade of blue. I didn't understand why she had all those bridesmaids and all the kids. And yes, I recognize that they were neices and nephews I get that.

I totally forgot about Alexia...she looked lovely! And again...I love her children! It seemed like yesterday that her youngest was born. Its also intresting that Nikolaos had the children of Alexandra in the party and not Joachim or Frederik. Not that it matters. Just an observation.

Nobody from the Royal House of Romania (King Mihai I is first cousin of King Konstantinos II) and the Royal House of Italy (Princess Olga of Savoy is born Princess of Greece)?

Bridesmaids shouldn't even be there, in greek church we don't have adult bridesmaids we only have kids escorting the bride.

I wish the bride would stand a bit longer on her way in for the photographers because she had no space to move, the carriage was blocking a part where she could stand and we could see better!!:bang:

Thanks for the photos!
Princess Nikolaos looked lovely. She has "Californian relaxed" air about her.

i never saw princess irene when she was young, so i dont know if she was beautiful. but from the looks of that pic, wow shes:ohmy:

Thanks for the picture, always nice to see her.
But i have to say she was such a beautiful young women and now... even Sofia looks younger than she does.

I agree with you, but she has stated many times that she doesn't pay much attention to how she looks like, or what jewllery to wear etc. For me she does look older than Sofia. She doesn't seem to dye her hai either. I admire her very much though, these things don't really matter.

The best dressed IMO: Letizia, Marie-Chantal, Theodora & Gabriella.

Worst dressed: Mary (boring) and Madeleine (too loud, too Barbie).

Marie, Maxima and Victoria looked nice as well.

Most of the dresses I find to be quite pretty, if not fabulous. However, I totally agree with the others on the Infanta Elena's dress. This may be a hot day in Spetses, but you don't dress like an old lady in a house dress!

Tatiana's father died when she was 6 so who is the person entering with her in the church? I wonder is she speaks spanish?

The presence of queen Noor of Jodan was announced, any pics of her?
And of the Serbian RF?
And finally was Caroline of Monaco there? Maybe not in the church but at the reception at least?
