WOW! Thanks for the pics, Count!

On the second picture, who's the lady speaking? Is she Maria Ignacia (Kiki) Espírito Santo?

Very good eyes Regina, exactly kiki Espirito Santo!

I just purchased the latest copy of Point de Vue magazine which has great photos of the wedding and the couple. Wonderful close-up of Diana so that you can really see the detail of her tiara.
One fun note: She is shown sitting at the wedding table with a fan in her hand. It is a paper fan and it is open - written in blue script is "Charles Philippe et Diana" - the date and the place. The fan looks to be a wedding momento given to all of the guests - what a great idea!

I am passing along the tidbit to a friend whose wedding is in September in Florida. The fan would do so well as a souvenir of their special day and also keeping all the ladies cool.........
My PdV will not be here for another week.......It seems like it takes forever..

A fan as a wedding souvenir? I find the idea just splendid and truly creative!

I like the fan idea! I think it is a great thing to give as a memento from a summer wedding.

Yes, they gave a fan and thong with their names as wedding souvenir

Does anyone have a picture of the back of her dress without the jacket ?
thanks

Although there are elements I dislike, overall I like Diana's wedding dress. It was a classic and elegant choice that although simple was still romantic. The fabric looked lovely. The tiara was stunning and very much the feature of the day. The entire look suited her very well.

It was traditional and timeless, when her children marry the dress will still be a suitable dress, unlike some past and current dresses. The only thing I would change to improve the dress is have the train start at the waist not the neck, I detest dresses with those type of trains. The tiara is very beautiful and according to Diana herself from Van Cleef & Arpels which shows just how rich her family was and still is.

In the religious ceremony, D. Jorge Quintal Maurilio de Gouveia married Charles-Philippe and Diana.
He is an archbishop emeritus.
He is an archbishop of the highest rank who is retired.

They had a gorgeous wedding and they are one of my favorite Royal couples. I wish we saw more of them. Their little Isabelle is so beautiful!:whistling:

I think her dress is kind of boring. I, however, love the skirt and veil.

I completely agree. I found the wedding dress rather severe and plain, especially compared to the beautiful ball gown she wore the night before the Church ceremony. I have never seen such a "boring" Carolina Herrera bridal gown but the tailoring was absolute perfection. Obviously it's what Diana wanted.

It looked too hot to have worn such a gown on the Iberian peninsula in late June, but the top part was detachable and that's what Diana did for the reception.

Her hair, tiara and veil were all gorgeous.:)
