On 22 February 1914 Prince Felix Youssoupov married Princess irina of Russia. The bride was the daughter of Grand Duke Alexander Michaelovitch of Russia and Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna of Russia. Her maternal grandparents were Emperor Alexander III of Russia and Empress Marie, born Princess Dagmar of Denmark. The couple married at the Anichkov Palace in St. petersburg, home to the bride's maternal grandmother the dowager Empress.

Thanks for sharing interesting photos!:flowers:
I have read Pikul's account of this wedding. He mentioned that a truly grand ceremony preceded by a beautiful courtship was the society event of the year. Prince Felix splurged on magnificent pieces of jewellery that would emphasise his bride's beauty. Looking at the photo of Princess Yousoupov, I have to say that she was a stunning woman, indeed.

I always thought so given Xenia's exotic beauty.

Princess Irina received the Sunburst Tiara by Chaumet, presented as a wedding gift by Felix.

A lot of their items are sold since a while at the Auction House Coutau Begarie in Paris.
