Prince Floris, Princess Aimée and Family: News and Pictures, Part 1

Welcome to the first thread for News and Pictures of Prince Floris and Aimée Söhngen, who will be married this October.

A bit about Aimée, courtesy of the Benelux Royals MB:

Aimée Leonie Allegonde Marie Söhngen was born on 18 October 1977 in
Amsterdam and is the eldest daughter of Mr J.H.M. Söhngen and Mrs E.L.F.M. Söhngen-Stammeijer. She has a younger brother Hans, and sister Magali, and was raised in Bussum and Naarden. In 1996 she received her gymnasium diploma at the Willem de Zwijger College in Bussum. She graduated at the University of Leiden in 2002 in business law. After her study she started working for Fortis Bank as management trainee. In the meantime she is projectmanager at Fortis Bank.

And enjoy it while it lasts because she will not be there for long. After her marriage Prince Floris (and Prince PC) are no longer members of the royal house, and I think that their profiles will be erased, like they have done with that of Prince Johan-Friso.

Will Floris and Peter-Christiaan and their wives not be members of the royal household until the ascention of the throne by Willem-Alexander like Maurits and Bernhard are? Is this because the royal house is too large or because neither Floris nor Peter-Christiaan asked for permission?

They will not ask permission to the goverment for their marriages, so they will automatically lose their membership of the royal house. They explained that the situation now was totally different from when their elder brothers married. When Maurits and Bernhard jr. married none of the sons of the queen were married. I think it is a wise decission as an extensive Royal House can only give problems (In the Netherlands the goverment is responsable for all actions of the members of the Royal House). Maurits and Bernhard will remain members of the Royal House untill Willem-Aexander becomes king. (note that the Royal HOUSE and the Royal FAMILY are two completely different things).

Post-marriage will Floris and Pieter-Christiaan still remain Princes in title?

And upon the accenssion of Willem, will Marilene and Annette still be called Princesses?

That is still to be disided. but Iassume that they, like Prince Johan-Friso will remain princes of Orange-Nassau. Maurits, Marilene, Bernhard and Anette will remain Princes of Orange-Nassau after Beatrix' abdication, but they will not be members of the royal house anymore.
