19 January 2005 -- Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and her husband Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven in the garden of their residence, together with their children and their grandchildren: Prince Maurits, Princess marilene and their two children Anna (3) and Lucas (2); Prnce Bernhard Jr. and Princess Annette and their two children Isabella (2) and Samuel (8 months old, also together with his godmother Princess Margriet). Also in the group are the two youngest sons, the Princes Pieter-Christiaan and Floris.

I never get over how beautifully natural Princess Annette is, and how much Isabella and Anna van Vollenhoven look alike!

I love seeing pictures of and hearing about Princess Margriet's family.

Cute to see little Lucas van Vollenhoven attired in a pink shirt! In a year's time we'll see him attending another such baptism -- but for his own little brother or sister!

Samuel Bernhard Louis van Vollenhoven, son of Their Highnesses Prince Bernhard and Princess Annette was baptised this morning in the chapel of Palace Het Loo Nationaal Museum in Apeldoorn.

The Rev A. van der Meiden, theologian and former professor Communication Science, led the service, that was held under responsibility of the Nederlandse Protestanten Bond.

As godparents HRH Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, HH Prince Pieter-Christiaan van Oranje-Nassau, van Vollenhoven, Mr Diederik de Rooij and Mrs Marjolein Sekrève were present. Samuel van Vollenhoven was born on May 25, 2004.

In the picture in the second row, I wonder what everyone is looking at. You can see Laurentien, Eloise, Margriet and a few others looking up towards the ceiling. I wonder what they find so fascinating.

In these pictures as well as those The Watcher posted, little Isabella is super adorable. And a sign of her future fashion plate status: her jacket matches her boots! (And so trendy for spring -- wonder if it Isabella realizes that green is one of this spring's hot, hot colours?!)
