Love this tiara! Never knew about the diamond drop but I prefer the tiara without it. I love the shell design with the pearls. I think this tiara is exquisite!
At first I didn't like this tiara, but with the time it was growing on me. I would still like to see the diamond drop though....
Any future tiara events in the SRF?

Very doubtful given the economic situation in Spain.

My only hope is the Luxembourg wedding, in case somebody from Spain attends.

My guess is that someone from Spain attends but i have little hope for a white tie Gala-Dinner. Perhaps there will be an incoming State Visit to Spain again next year.

All of the jewels and gems are packed away until Spain see's better times,I'm not sure if the Luxembourg wedding will be a tiara event but it would be nice .

I did not remember the Mellerio Shell tiara. I think it's a very interesting piece and looks good on both Q Sofia and Letizia.

Infantas Elena,Cristina and Margarita have also worn the historic Mellerio Shell tiara, however I'm not a fan of this tiara.

.... and I think, this is the most beautiful tiara of Spain....
so taste is different.

I only think, this one does not suite Sofia well - because of her face structure. I´d looove to see this one more often on Letizia, she only has worn it once.
Yes, I really hope for the Benelux Wedding.... but then we also have Letizias mysterious new tiara as well.. whereas I think, we will not see this one for the next years (at least until the Spanish economy is going up again)

Bye Bine

Well , the way they treated this tiara so far I wouldn't be suprised if we saw it for the first time on Leonor's head when her official 18th birthday portrait is taken

It was worn by Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg, who's a granddaughter of the late Infanta Beatriz of Spain.

I agree. It always reminds me of a tiara that would suit the Childlike Empress from The Neverending Story. I like the fantasy element to it, and I prefer it when it's worn with the hanging teardrop diamond in the center.

The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Tiara Thursday: The Fleur de Lys Tiara

This tiara is absolutely magnificent! Love the grand presence of the tiara. It's a great size, and a stunning design. Definitely a tiara for a Queen.

True, not unlike the Delhi Durbar one.
Still, it is a gorgeous piece so if I had it, I'd be prepared to put up with a headache afterwards.

This is a wonderful piece, and very much the "biggie" of the Spanish collection.
