For her Silver Wedding Anniversary Queen Silvia wore a headdress of silver leaves. I am fairly certain it was not a new tiara of silver shaped like leaves. More probably it was the opposite, real leaves painted with silver spray. It might have been kept for sentimental reasonos, but I don't think it will ever be seen again.

I think Queen Silvia is just superb in the way she dresses, chooses her jewellery and things like that. The whole being of her is just one big class act.

For every type of occasion she makes such wise choices on what kind of jewellery to wear - and for big tiara events she always amazes me with the grand tiara of her choice and how she has her hair done superbly. The first Tiara the Queen wore was at the pre wedding gala og hers and the kings wedding 1976 she wore the Connaught Diamond Tiara


Princess Margare took the tiara to Sweden twhen she married Crown Prince Gustav
Adolf of Sweden in 1905. it was a wedding gift from her paranets Duke and Duchess of Connaught


the tiara can also be worn as a necklace
