I need some help. Right after her wedding, Queen Noor wore one of the prettiest, albeit simple, wedding band sets I've ever seen. There were three rings--a plain gold band, a gold band set with what looks to be gold diamonds pave style and a gold band with white diamonds pave style. Does anyone have any good close up photos of this ring as I would love to duplicate it or come close.

She also wears, very often it seems, a dove of peace brooch that is stunning. It seems to be made of diamonds with a small heart dangling from its beak. Does anyone know where this came from or how one would go about finding it or a similar piece?

I am not into jewelry but in both of these cases I think they are so lovely, it would be wonderful to own similar rings and the dove of peace brooch.

Any advice would be welcome.

Mary Shawn

Have you looked in Royal Jewels? There may be a thread on the jewellery of Queen Noor there with the information you are looking for.

You may have to go back some pages, but have a look there.

Does anyone have any information on the following as I would like to find these pieces or close imitations. Queen Noor is often photographed in Jordan wearing white cloissone or enamel flower earrings with a diamond center. She also wears quite often now a brooch, gold with diamonds, which is a dove of peace with a unique dainty heart linking the dove to its beak. These are just stunning pieces and yet I can't find any mention of them anywhere in terms of where she found them. If anyone has information, I'd appreciate it greatly. I get the feeling the earrings are of Middle Eastern origin; perhaps someone from that region knows the jeweller. I have no idea about the brooch. Does anyone else notice she often wears a signet ring--well, actually a couple; one is plain gold, others have large gemstones. I could never pull off that look but it's very lovely on her and perhaps significant as they may have been a gift from her husband, King Hussein, or maybe they were his. Anyway, she does have lovely pieces--very unique--and I hope to find the earrings and brooch one of these days with your help.

Thank you,

Mary Shawn

In the photos of Noor (wonderful by the way), she is usually wearing a signet ring on her pinky and a blue evil eye bracelet. Were they gifts from KH? It seems she never takes them off so they must mean something. Also, she does not always wear her wedding band. Is this a custom in that in Islam wedding bands are something adopted from the Western way of wedding? Or is she just feeling the bands are no longer important to wear as a widow? Just curious about the history of the two pieces and lack of wedding band.

I have found one she wore but the one I am really trying to find is this one.

Go to www.celebrity-photos.com/queennoor.jpg

It's a larger pin with a dove holding a small heart.

If anyone knows anything about where/how to get this, I''d greatly appreciate your help.

Sincerely,

Mary Shawn
