This is why I love simple clothes. The jewels just stand out so beautifully. The hair ornament.....perfect. Letizia looks beautiful, don't get me wrong, but with her simple dress she would have dazzled with some of her jewels added. Of course theres only one....Maxi!!!!

It seems like the scrolly top part is interchangeable it seems to be the pin with the the gems being pendants. The 2 gems are different shape, I think. The aquamarine comes to a point at the top where as the sapphire is a rounded oval.

Yes, I was wondering if these aquamarines were new too or if they are part of the royal collection? I've never seen Maxima wear them before. They are beautiful though!

The aquamarines are absolutely breathtaking! The color is so beautiful. They are just beyond exquisite.

Thanks so much Muriel, for the link on the aquas, It doesn't tell about the earrings and bracelet, however.

The site says the provenance of the earrings and bracelet are not known but
are assumed to be acquired during Beatrix's reign.

Off topic..the watch is Patek Philippe

So I saw the earrings, brooch and bracelet were old but what about Maxima's aquamarine and emerald ring? Is that new or old?

I really love the jewels Maxima wore to the visit with Spain, but the Butterfly was overkill IMHO.

I'd say it's new as design looks very modern and it's a deeper blue than the rest of the pieces.

Beautiful, bright stones and they look great on Maxima! She should wear them more often.
