thanks for identifying the fire opal set. Any idea when they were made or where they came from? The look 1950's to me.

The Dutch Royal Jewels website approimates them at 1968 or so.

Fire Opals
I just love these darn fire opals! She can wear them as often as she would like! She looks stunning no matter what she wears, but these are by far some of my abortive when it comes to her choices of jewels. Grander jewels not included!

Thank you for all the photos. Those jewels are all just so amazing and I can't get over the size of the insect pin she's wearing. It's so huge, but she wears it well. I can't figure out if it's a dragonfly, butterfly or a moth pin.

Queen Maxima wore multi-colored semi precious gem earrings on her last night in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany.

I've seen these before and can't remember what stones they are. They're very bold and dramatic and complement the color of her dress beautifully. These suit Max so well.

So luscious a color and a simple, elegant setting that showcases the stone so well.

These earrings are H Stern. Very expensive, I priced the smaller version in Vegas years ago....The bottom comes off to wear as brooches which of course our Maxi has done several times. Maybe you wonderful posters can find an old pic?

Did we decide what stone we think that is in the earrings with the blue dress? Im going with Iolite or maybe even Tanzanite. There is some purple going on.

I found them as a brooch! I knew I'd seen them somewhere. The Ductch royal jewels site has the, here (middle of the page). Queen Juliana wore it as a brooch...or are the earring complete different jewels? The seem to have more
red stones.

Queen Juliana's Sapphires

Also, she wore aquamarine and diamond earrings on her trip to Denmark earlier this week.

ModekoninginMaxima blog has solved the mystery!
She got this ring on the occasion of Alexia's birth.
Apparently she got a ring after each birth of her daughters
